Hmm... well, I suppose that could be correct if the game switched to beta pretty soon. I've been holding off on more minecraft for a few weeks now because I want to start over once SMP is available.

You're probably going to be waiting a while. Notch stated SMP is his priority, but I think he's realizing most people are in this for the single player and might be refocusing his work based on that. This is from what I've seen in the forums. The Halloween update was a real stinker too, he's still fixing bugs from that, and it lacks a lot of needed polish that should be there even in an alpha.

Survival server is up and running survival. If you want to join we have a vent as well. Come on introduce yourself to anyone who is playing, usually there are 1-2 people hanging out in the server.

Me and two of my other friends got this game around a month back and have been playing single player mostly or on our locally set up peaceful servers. Loving this game.
However, work progresses very slowly and since I updated to 1.501 I've been experiencing a lag :(
So what I wanted to ask is that is there any mod using which I can build maps and structures and then import them into the game....I've already tried a few including McEdit and Structure Planner but the former I found quite tedious and the latter, I couldn't even get to start....So all suggestions are appreciated.

I'm sorry, I have no clue about those programs and have never tried to do what you are doing. Did you try the minecraft forums?

Same. It's like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. You really don't see the appeal until you experience it for yourself.

Hey Veho is that server still up? I've been playing for about a couple months now and I want to try out some multiplayer.

I did actually but I couldn't find anything that is considered to be better than McEdit....
I guess I'll just keep slogging with it.

The AWP admins havent updated it since like 1.2. So no, but I do have another server you can play on. Its run by my cousin, and the rules are pretty lenient. Basic, don't grief. It gets backed up all the time and he is pretty quick when it comes to updating it.
