NOTE: All genders will be referred to as "he" for the purposes of maintaining both a readable story and keeping true identities hidden. If gender becomes apparent, it will be reflected in the writeup, but unless otherwise stated, "he" could mean male or female. Blame the English language for having very few gender-neutral pronouns to choose from. Further, Sith are not above using male or female identities as cover roles. Gender means nothing in this game.

Day ends at 11:59:59 PM Wednesday, October 27th, Eastern Time USA

Kerren Kae was heading back to his quarters after training under the tutelage of Nomi Sunrider. There was just enough time left before the morning shift to get some sleep. It had been a long and stressful day. He felt as if he was being watched, so he began to hurry. When he turned the corner and started down the next corridor, he looked up and he saw that the corridor lights had been disabled, and a cloaked figure blocking the hall. The being ignited its lightsaber, and a brilliant red glow illuminated the corridor.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Kerren Cae was not armed with a saber, and turned around to retreat the way he came, down the side corridor, but the blast doors slammed shut as if commanded by an unseen power. The dark figure approached, holding his blade in a classic Form I pose. Kerren Cae bolted down the main corridor in the opposite direction, but the blast doors on the far side were shut as well. "What's wrong, Jedi? Forget your lightsaber?" laughed the dark figure. Kerren Cae dropped to the floor and began to meditate. "Not even going to fight back? What a joke. Very well, if the little bantha wants to be slaughtered, that's fine with me." The dark figure cackled as he advanced, swinging the crimson blade, gouging holes in the duranium deck plating with ease, showering the meditating Jedi with sparks. The creature raised his blade, and prepared to impale it straight through Kerren Cae's chest, when suddenly Kerren's eyes opened and he rolled to the side, missing certain death by the tiniest fraction of a second. Kae kicked the lightsaber out of the hands of his attacker, and rolled backwards and into a standing position, fists raised.

The Sith was upon him in an instant, powered by a burst of force energy that made him move faster than the eye could see, especially in the darkness. A palm outstretched, the blow landed in the center of the Jedi's chest, knocking him backward and into the blast door, almost knocking him out cold. The Sith reached for his lightsaber and pulled it toward him with the Force, only to be tackled from behind by the unarmed Jedi. The two force-sensitives grappled as they rolled on the deck, the crimson blade slamming repeatedly into the deck, melting the metal and burning the robes of the two combatants. Kerren grasped the Sith's blade and tried to force it back and away from his face, but the Sith shifted positions and slammed the Jedi back down onto the deck, and pushed down with his full weight, trying to decapitate Cae.

Cae lifted his legs and threw the Sith off of him and over his head, both of them still gripping the saber. They rolled laterally into an upright position and tried to pry each other's hands off of the weapon. The Sith looked at Cae, eyes burning with hatred. Cae merely concentrated on tearing the weapon away from the Sith. The Sith grinned, baring its inhuman fangs, and rose up off of the ground, still clinging to its weapon, but releasing the grip ever so slightly. The Jedi braced himself and tore the weapon away from the Sith as hard as he could, just as the Sith released it voluntarily, causing the Jedi to roll backwards and out of range, and the crimson emitter to shut off automatically. The Sith laughed. "What are you going to do now, Jedi? Surely you don't know how to use such a weapon? Why don't you give it back to me, before you hurt yourself?"

Kerren didn't listen to the taunting of the Sith, and retained his focus. He switched the crimson blade back on, and began moving clumsily toward the dark figure, blade raised. The creature simply laughed and gathered dark Force energy, and unleashed it in the direction of the Jedi hopeful. Kerren reacted quickly, artfully dodging the attack and running up the side of the corridor wall, to avoid being hit by the close-quarters blast. The Jedi was only a dozen feet away from the Sith now, charging as fast as he could. The dark figure released another volley, which knocked the crimson blade out of Kerren's hands. The Sith reached out and grabbed the Jedi, and used his own momentum to hurl him down the corridor, slamming his head against the blast door control panel. The blast doors slid open, giving Kerren the opportunity to escape. He pulled himself out of a daze and tried to escape, just as a third blast of dark energy hit him in the back, ripping his body apart and shattering bone. Kerren Cae was killed instantly.

The Sith called his lightsaber back to him, and walked calmly back into the darkness, slightly displeased that his robes had gotten singed.

Si-At Unesh was elsewhere on the Star Destroyer, silently meditating by himself, watching the stars from an observation room. He heard the sound of the door sliding open, and heard a figure enter the room with him. Si-At said nothing, and did not even turn around.

"You will look me in the eye, Jedi, so I can remember your face long after you've met your death." commanded the dark figure. The elderly man ignored the command. The dark figure ignited its red lightsaber, and repeated the order. "Turn around and meet your destiny." Si-At continued to say nothing, and silently meditated. "Very well, if you will not turn around, then you will meet your destiny like a coward." The dark figure lifted a hand, and all the chairs and tables in the room flew against the starboard bulkhead, with a loud crashing noise, leaving only the meditating Jedi and the Sith, and empty deck space. The figure held his saber in a Form III stance, and grinned as he prepared to destroy the Jedi.

Si-At rose at last, and turned to face his attacker, unleashing a stream of positively-charged particles, attempting to stun the dark figure, but they were easily dispersed with no ill effect. "What? Is that all you've got, you foolish old man? Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery, just hold still...." Si-At rolled to dodge the swing of the blade, and attempted to run out of the observation room, but the door slid shut before he could escape. He turned and unleashed another stream of positively-charged particles, again with no effect. The Sith just cackled and cut the old man down, severing him from the middle of his chest to the opposite shoulder, killing him instantly.

Jax Revus had almost returned to his quarters after a busy night, but when he tried his door code, he found that it had been changed without his permission. He snarled in frustration. Then, without warning, he sensed danger and looked around, startled.

"Do you need some assistance, Master Revus?" said a voice from behind him. Jax immediately began to smile and regard his fellow Jedi warmly. "Why yes, it seems my door code has been changed. Do you know how to unlock it, Master....?"

"What's wrong, don't you recognize me?" asked the unknown figure.

"....my memory isn't what it used to be. Your species all look alike to me, and I have trouble remembering names. No offense intended, Master."

"None taken." grinned the figure. He ignited his purple lightsaber.

Revus was taken by surprise by this move, and slowly backed away. "Surely it won't be necessary to cut the door open, Master.... I'll just change the code down at the Security station. Thanks again for your help."

"No..... no..... not at all. I insist." grinned the figure, as he walked menacingly toward Revus. At this point Revus frowned and ignited his yellow lightsaber. "Who are you, really, Master Jedi?" asked Revus. "I could ask you the same question, Master Revus."

Revus' eyes began to darken, and he snarled again. "Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?"

"You've demonstrated a mastery of the obvious, Master Revus." remarked the figure.

"Very well. Killing another Jedi tonight won't exactly be a stain on my conscience...." cackled Jax Revus, as he ignited a second lightsaber, in his other hand, a crimson one.

The figure with the purple saber stopped grinning, suddenly realizing that $#!% just got real.

"What's wrong, Master Jedi? Didn't you come to kill a Sith? What makes you hesitate? Could it be that cowardly Jedi fear welling up inside you? Perhaps you feel pained by the news of the death of your fallen comrade? Or perhaps you've got a hangnail? DO YOU MISS YOUR MOMMY???"

"Why don't you shut your mouth, before I remove it from your skull?" sneered the Jedi.

"Oh ho ho ho! I see that unlike some of the other... pathetic... life forms on this ship, you actually have some iron. I like that. It's such a shame I'm going to have to kill you." lamented the Sith, sarcastically.

"I wouldn't count on it, you Pakuunian Pig-rat." spat the figure.

"What language, Master Jedi. Did they teach you that in finishing school? And what does the Jedi code say about murdering people without a trial? Do you really think the Council is going to let you get away with this?" taunted the Sith.

"Why don't you just shut up and die, traitor?"

"Good, Master Jedi. There might be hope for you yet. Use your aggressive feelings, you miserable blood-worm. Let go of your Jedi training.... do what must be done. That is the way of the Sith. Perhaps you should consider a career change?"

"Perhaps you should consider what your LAST WORDS are going to be!" shouted the attacker, as he raised his purple saber in a Form III pose, and began to strike at his target. The Sith raised his lightsabers in a Form I stance, and began to defend himself against the quick, precise swings of his attacker. The Sith countered all of them easily, albeit giving ground in the process, and continued grinning grimly.

"Good.... you have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me, Master Jedi."

"Or perhaps he can." said the figure, smugly, looking behind the Sith.

"What? More pathetic sheep to be slaughtered? Outstanding! My master will be so pleased." said the Sith, as he turned his head, but there was no one there. The sound of a lightsaber cutting through bone startled the Sith, who looked and saw that his yellow lightsaber, and the hand that was holding it, had been removed. "How??? That's impossible! ...YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT, YOU WRITHING MASS OF RANCOR DROPPINGS!!!"

The figure with the purple lightsaber just grinned wickedly. "I don't think so."

The Sith tossed his red saber into the air, and made a violent pushing motion towards his attacker, shoving him down onto the deck with a massive Force Push, and then caught his saber and swung at the prone figure, just as he rolled out of the path of danger. Sparks flew everywhere, as the Sith advanced, preparing to slaughter the impudent wretch. The figure with the purple lightsaber rolled to his feet, and immediately charged the Sith, swinging his saber in a bright purple blur. The evenly-matched foes battled for some time, but the attacker gained the upper hand by wearing down his opponent. There was only so much the Sith could do to defend with his remaining hand. In an instant, a powerful clash of the sabers forced his blade down, and a quick twist of the wrist caused the Sith's arm to be separated at the shoulder. Then his attacker kicked him in the teeth, knocking him down. The Sith simply laughed at the victorious figure looming over him.

"Let your passions control you. Take your Jedi weapon, strike me down with it, and take my place at my Master's side. Soon, your journey toward the Dark Side will be complete."

"I wouldn't count on that either, you Sith scum." grinned the figure, as he lowered the purple saber into the Sith's throat.

Elsewhere, Jacin Sky returned to his quarters, exhausted from a long night of activity. When he entered, he sensed that something was wrong, and sure enough the doors closed and locked by themselves. A blue lightsaber ignited, in the darkness, and the assassin charged toward Jacin Sky, holding his blade in a manner associated with Form II. Jacin Sky ignited his lightsaber as well, and the two combatants began to duel furiously. They were evenly-matched, meeting each other swing for swing, step for step.

In the dark, Jacin could not see his attacker, and his attacker said nothing. Jacin's training wasn't able to force an escape... and so he had to improvise. They fought on, Jacin giving ground and his assailant pursuing. Jacin was backed into his furnishings, and was forced to walk across a giant glass tabletop. The movement was fluid and steady, and the action continued as they fought across its surface. Suddenly Jacin ducked a swing, and impaled the saber through the tabletop, shattering it under the weight of the two combatants. They both fell to the ground, as the figure with the blue lightsaber tried to make his killing blow.... but no one was there. He looked around, trying to locate Sky, and then noticed that the door to Jacin's quarters had been cut open, and Jacin had escaped. His attacker didn't even see him leave.

Much later on that night, Carnus Daye woke from his rest, feeling an uncomfortable weight on his chest. For an instant, he thought he might be having a heart attack, but the sudden flash of a red lightsaber igniting under his chin caused him to freeze, and realize that an assassin was literally lying right on top of him, staring him coldly in the face.

"I couldn't sleep anyways, could you?" smirked the assassin.

"Actually, I...." began the sleepy Jedi.

"SHUT UP! That was a rhetorical question. Now, something has been on my mind ever since we arrived on this Star Destroyer... and that's you. I just find you so fascinating." The assassin leaned forward, breathing those words into the face of the sleepy Jedi, in a lustful tone. "I want to know everything about you, Master Jedi. Your thoughts.... your feelings.... which of the other Jedi you think are cute.... if you ever want to have children, that sort of thing. Oh, and by the way, ARE YOU SITH???"

Carnus Daye: "Well, actually, I am not. Could you get off of me? Maybe... point that thing someplace else?"

Assassin: "Oh I rather like pointing it at you, Master Jedi. I like it a lot. You see, I've been under a lot of stress lately, and this whole Sith thing is just making it worse. I can't sleep, and if I can't sleep, no one sleeps, and I can't sleep until I find the Sith.... or someone else equally amusing. Now, Master Jedi, if that is your real identity, you'll answer this one question for me, and MAYBE I will let you live...." the assassin lowered the lightsaber until it was directly above the throat of the sleepy one.

Carnus Daye: "Sure, sure, whatever you say... I'll talk!" yelped the would-be victim.

Assassin: "Do you know..... the Muffin man?"

    Carnus Daye: ".....What?"

Assassin: "YOU WILL ANSWER ME OR DIE!!! Do you know the Muffin man?"

    Carnus Daye: "The Muffin Man?"

Assassin: "The Muffin Man. DO YOU KNOW THE MUFFIN MAN!?"

Carnus Daye: "That lives on Drury lane? Oh yes, I know the Muffin man."

    Assassin: "The Muffin man!"

Carnus Daye: "The Muffin man. Yes I know the Muffin man... who lives on Drury lane."

Assassin: "Well, 'Jedi', spill it, where is this Muffin man?"

Carnus Daye: "Okay, okay, I was just getting to that. You know Nomi Sunrider?"

Assassin: "Of course I do, what kind of deranged lunatic do you think I am?"

Carnus Daye: "Well, she's..... married to the Muffin man."

    Assassin: "The Muffin man???"

Carnus Daye: "The Muffin man. She's married to the Muffin man."

Assassin: "Who lives on Drury lane. Yes, it's all falling into place. Wait, WHAT WAS THAT??? Did you hear something?"

Carnus Daye: "No.... just the sound of your crazed, insane breathing."

Assassin: "It's here... The cute little creature; it has come to suck the life out of me, and give me gray hairs! it's been tormenting me for months!"

Carnus Daye: "Maybe you should get some sleep...."

Assassin: "THERE IS NO SLEEP!! Don't you realize? The cute little monster devours sleep, and swallows dreams! He's the source of all the madness! And I'm powerless to stop him!!!"

Carnus Daye: "Could you let me go, now? I told you where the Muffin man is..."

Assassin: "Yes, yes, you win this round, 'Jedi', but once I deal with the Muffin man and steal his magic bag of muffins, I'll be able to satiate the cute one, and then I'll be back to finish this."

    Carnus Daye: "Sounds great."

Assassin: "Oh here, you can have your red florescent lamp back. Sorry I broke the lampshade off of it. I left it hanging somewhere over there."

With that, the dark assassin wearing pajamas sneaked off into the night, attempting to locate the kitchen. The would-be victim just rolled his eyes and attempted to get back to sleep.

Nomi Sunrider - Grandmaster of the Jedi Order

Nomi Sunrider called the next meeting of the Jedi Council to order, and recounted the events of the previous night, as recorded in the Security Holograms. Everyone witnessed the strange and bizarre events of that night, and looked grimly upon seeing the deaths of their fellow Jedi.

"It seems that my nightly training session wasn't the only thing happening last night. All of these events happened after the training had been completed, so I cannot vouch for the innocence of anyone who attended. The security recordings have been garbled, and there's no way to determine who was behind the attacks. Internal sensors have also been knocked off-line by a mysterious saboteur. I am going to need to start assigning Jedi guards to cover the critical systems of the ship in shifts, but I am worried about the safety issues involved in spreading out all over the ship. There aren't enough of us to go in pairs and still be able to sleep in shifts, so you'll have to go alone.

We will need to accelerate the training regimen of every single Jedi hopeful here, in response to this attack. I don't feel comfortable handing out more lightsabers just now; you must be trained in the ways of the Jedi before I can authorize giving out such weapons. Believe me, it is for the best; while the deaths of our comrades is regrettable and we must do what we can to stop it from happening again, what will make our situation worse is if we give untrained force-sensitives the use of deadly weapons, as they will be easy prey for the Dark Side. We do not need to multiply our woes.

What I would like to address is the death of Jax Revus. It seems as though he was a Sith, an apprentice by what I could guess from the recording, and he was slain by someone holding a purple lightsaber. Now obviously I know everyone on the ship and what color their lightsaber is, but I must warn you Jedi, that is not a means of determining who has done this. Look at the fallen Sith for reasons why.... the Sith had two lightsabers, with a yellow and a red crystal. And, there are other lightsabers stored in a hidden location of this vessel, and crystals are easy enough for a Sith to switch out. Should you use the color of the lightsaber to determine who is responsible, you do so at your own peril and with my explicit warning that it may not always be accurate.

I would like to note that it is not the policy of this council to engage in vigilante killings of the Sith, as it goes against the Jedi code. However, I am unsure if I can really condemn anyone for using deadly force against a known Sith murderer. I do not condone it, but I will not condemn it, at least until there are no more Sith remaining. Several of you have use of new Force and Saber techniques, so use them wisely.

Finally, I have one last announcement, though I was reluctant to share this with you all, my closest advisers have talked me into it. I have been communing with Master Yoda, and during this communion I experienced a vision. I saw the future, because it was the will of the Force that I could see what will happen. One of you will betray me."

The Jedi began to murmur at the shocking announcement.

"Quiet please. This was unlike any other vision I have experienced. It was remarkably clear, clear enough that I could almost see who was responsible, but I could not. Nevertheless, I saw my destiny. Masters of the Order, I will meet my death very soon. I do not know exactly when or how, but I know I meet my end in battle. There will be an explosion, and I will be unable to avoid it, even though I know it is coming. While the future is always in motion, I have foreseen this future and it is inevitable.

As such, I will rank the Jedi Order by seniority, and the most senior Jedi Master will take my place as Grandmaster of the Order upon my death. Do not mourn me before my time, Master Jedi, and do not miss me when I am gone. Remember, fear, anger, jealousy, and attachment lead to the Dark Side. Revenge is not the Jedi way. Bring those responsible to justice, but do not let your passions sway you.... and beware of the Dark Side. It may seem quicker, and easier, but that is merely an illusion. Do not be seduced by the Dark Side.

Before I am gone, I will have found a way to counter its power. I have foreseen that as well. Now, I want you to discuss who these attackers could be. And I am ordering a certain Jedi to get some sleep before I force tranquilizers into his system. Begin discussion, I must retire to my quarters and sleep."

With that, Nomi Sunrider turned and left the chamber, with two Jedi Masters escorting her. They would return later and join in the discussion.

Results for night actions are being sent out, and I have extensive updates to write for certain people's role PMs. Many folks learned new abilities.

If you do not get an update, then you didn't learn a new ability.

Pizza, both "they" and "it" are gender neutral.

Or you could use "he and/or she."

I find it hilarious that Beskar is going to return from Israel on Friday, open his SW:FotO Role PM and jump right into the thread... only to find out he's been vigged on Night One; expect a strong metagaming argument when he does, unless he's too enraptured with Fable 3 to care. xD

Nonetheless, credit where it's due... good job, Sasaki.

I was about to ask you if you had talked with him about the game. Now that we're in the "meta".mood. But he's been away? convenient.

Also; is Fable III any good?

Basically, every single post you've made is scummier than the last. There's really nothing more to it than that.

Beskar's been on holiday since Sunday 17th, I managed to see him for a bit on the Saturday; he has gone to Israel with family, to visit various locations of architectural, historical and religious importance. Anyone who knows him and/or has him as an MSN contact can easily verify that fact if you deem it 'convenient', Diamondeye.

Bear in mind that this game did start early; both Flax and Beskar intended to return to play it, both are currently on holiday.

Also; is Fable III any good?
I have no idea; I'm British, I won't be able to play it until it's European launch on Friday.

I do use "it" sometimes, but in other cases the pronoun "he" is more readable. "It" is slightly disrespectful in my view. "He and/or she" is cumbersome to type and read. "They" doesn't make sense in most sentences.

The writeup is more enjoyable this way. Sorry ladies, I use the pronoun "he" as a default neutral pronoun because guys seem to be more sensitive about being called "she".

It also seems like the Sith don't know who the other Sith are.

That doesn't make much sense though. I've never heard of the mafia not knowing who the other mafia are in a game.

Also... it is hard to take ATPG seriously in his updates. They start out serious and well written but then they might turn completely around and be funny. It's good writing though. Keep it up! :D
Also the "Are you threatening me Master Jedi?" part was funny too since that was from the movies.

Yeah, well... I HAVE been in a game where the mafia didn't know who the other mafia were. So...

    Why?

I'm on a portable device right now and reading the update was too painful. As Secura pointed out I'm on vacation, so no computer for me.
