Day ends at 11:59:59 PM Wednesday, December 22nd, Eastern Time USA. That's approximately 45 hours.
Master Carnus Daye was patrolling the halls, when a cloaked figure emerged from the shadows, igniting a turquoise double-lightsaber in an advanced Juyo form.
Unknown: "FOOLISH JEDI!!! YOUR ARROGANCE BLINDS YOU!!! I WILL HAVE MY VENGEANCE!!!"
Carnus Daye ignited his dark blue lightsaber and hurled it at the unknown attacker, who simply deflected it. The saber returned to Daye, as he lifted up several cargo canisters with the Force and sent them flying at the attacker. The unknown attacker hacked all of the incoming containers to pieces, and continued advancing. The attacker disengaged the double-lightsaber from itself, and hurled both blades at Carnus Daye, and the wreckage from the cargo containers were also flung at Daye through the Force.
Master Daye released a powerful burst of the Force, pushing the lightsabers and the attacker down. Daye swung his dark blue sabers at the prone foe, who rolled out of the way, summoned both sabers back into its hands, and vanished into thin air.
The unknown attacker had escaped, but Carnus Daye was still alive.

Sio Eroseeth was guarding the weapons room, meditating, when a cloaked figure appeared out of thin air, and swung a turquoise lightsaber at him in the Makashi stance.
Reacting quickly, Sio defended himself with a lightsaber of his own, in the Soresu style.
The two combatants clashed viciously, and Sio reached deep into the Force and unleashed Force Valor. In response, the attacker unleashed a second turquoise saber and sent it flying into the air. Sio deflected this attack, but noticed that his attacker had used the Force to tear many of the doors along the corridor off of their drive mechanisms, and sent them hurtling down the corridor in his direction through telekinesis.
It was all Sio could do to dodge the incoming attacks.
They continued to clash sabers, neither giving any ground. The attacker, frustrated beyond measure, roared with rage and hatred, but it could not break through. With one last burst of power, the attacking figure smashed the lightsaber out of Sio Eroseeth's hands, and punched him squarely in the jaw, sending him flying against the deck plating.
He quickly summoned his saber back to him, prepared to defend himself further, but the attacker had vanished.

Sky Yi'do was sulking in one of the many destroyed sections of the ship, in the darkness, cursing the Jedi Order.
She sensed 5 figures approaching. She meditated quickly, and focused her mind, and saw into the future, and she was enraged.
Sky Yi'do: "I know you're there, Jedi. You've made your final mistake, coming here to kill me. Allow me to show you how blind you truly are...."
Yi'do vanished into thin air, and the sound of her cackling echoed throughout the chamber.
The first assassin ignited a dark blue double-lightsaber, in the advanced juyo stance.
The second assassin ignited a lime green double-lightsaber, in the advanced juyo stance.
The third assassin ignited twin dark blue sabers, in the advanced Niman stance.
The fourth assassin ignited twin lime green sabers, in the advanced Niman stance.
The fifth assassin's eyes were glowing, and it began charging up a massive amount of energy.
Yi'do suddenly appeared in front of the first assassin, and quickly disarmed it with her turquoise double-lightsaber, and then knocked out the assassin with a single kick to the temple, and Yi'do vanished once again.
The second assassin was more alert, swinging its double-saber around wildly, attempting to cut down Yi'do blindly. But Yi'do appeared out of nowhere, shattered the double blade in half, and used the force to hurl the unarmed assassin into a pile of twisted metal.
The third assassin threw its twin blades into the air, and used telekinesis to swing them around madly, trying to catch Yi'do off-guard. But Yi'do shattered both blades, and then kicked the assassin in the back of the head, knocking him out cold.
Sky Yi'do: "How foolish you are.... how blind you've become. This is not over, Jedi... and more will die before this is all over."
The fifth assassin unleashed a hellish Force Storm, filling the deck with brilliant, painful lightning. The attack struck everyone in range, but was focused in the direction of the haunting voice. The cloaked Yi'do was struck hard, and became visible. She was knocked into a bulkhead on the far side of the collapsed deck, where she lay writhing in agony.
The fourth assassin recovered from the Storm, and tossed Sky Yi'do around with Force Wave. She was slammed against the deck and the ceiling, and hurled back toward the assassins.
Then, the assassin unleashed Force Valor, and leaped into the air, and delivered one final blow to the fallen Sky, impaling her twice through the chest with the lime green sabers. Sky Yi'do screamed in pain and hatred.
They checked her body..... there were no red lightsabers to be found.

Suddenly, a figure made out of light appeared before the Council. It was Dark Jedi Master Sky Yi'do, back from the Netherworld of the Force. Even though she was not exactly as she once was, the other Jedi would listen to what she had to say, because they needed all the help they could get.

Bane Anded: "It seems as though Sky Yi'do had turned her back on the Jedi Council, resentful that we tried to execute her. She must have had a natural inclination to the dark side, and according to the logs I found in her quarters, she harbored bitter resentment over that action. Once she went down the dark path, she did not turn back.
She seemed to lash out at us for our second attempt at killing her, trying to kill us in return. I am thankful that she failed, but at the same time, we have wasted an important opportunity and I fear we shall pay dearly for it."
Bane Anded shook his head.
"Carnus Daye and Sio Eroseeth were attacked and survived, and Sky Yi'do was attacked by several Jedi and destroyed.
I am at a loss to explain where the Sith are hiding. We are out of time; we must destroy the Sith utterly, we cannot afford any more losses."

Bane Anded noted that time had expired, and asked for a vote.
"Have we reached a verdict?" Anded asked.
The votes were counted.
"Yes we have, Grandmaster" said one of the Jedi.
"Who has been found guilty?"
"Sio Eroseeth, your grace."
"Very well. Let the accused have a chance to defend himself." Anded said.
Sio Eroseeth: "I'm so disappointed in all of you. Given the few suspects remaining, the odds were pretty decent that we'd actually destroy a Sith, but you've failed once more."
Bane Anded: "Is there any reason why you shouldn't be executed?"
Sio Eroseeth: "You mean other than my innocence? Not a one. I could try to prove my whereabouts, but it's a bit late for all that. I can see your minds are made up, and enthusiastically so. We don't stand a chance."
Bane Anded: "Are you going to resist the Council's judgment as well?"
Sio Eroseeth: "I guess you'll just have to wait and see...."
With that, Bane Anded ordered the other Jedi to forcefully escort Sio to the hangar bay. As he got closer and closer, Eroseeth tried harder and harder to resist, showing obvious signs of panic. The Jedi gripped him by the limbs and carried him for the rest of the way, as he screamed in protest and accused them all of either being blind or Sith, but he could not narrow down which of them were Sith. In fact he had abstained from accusing anyone in particular.
He was thrown inside the hangar bay, and the airlock was sealed. After spitting on the floor, he ignited his twin lightsabers and attempted to cut his way out of the opposing airlock.
Sio Eroseeth: "You're going to regret this, fellow Jedi...."

Sio wasn't able to break through the airlock in time; Bane Anded pressed the button and the entire hangar bay decompressed, blowing the panicking Eroseeth out into space, where he struggled for a bit, became motionless, and stayed that way for a long time.
Concerned that this was a trick, Bane Anded left Sio out in space for over an hour, and then pulled Sio back into the hangar bay with the tractor beam, and began to examine the body.
Bane Anded: "This one.... was a Jedi. I have no reason to believe he's ever done anything to harm anyone, even though his mind was undisciplined."
He ordered one of the nearby medical droids to take the body back for further examination, and then to place the body in cold storage. He then began the task of deciding what everyone should do that night.
The ship never felt more deserted. Or vulnerable to attack.

Grandmaster Bane Anded knew that the Sith would be attacking that night, so he thought up a plan, and thought it up quick.
He sent the ship into a spin, hurtling toward one of the lesser populated sections of Coruscant's southern polar region. Here, there was a preserve for off-planet flora and fauna, and wide open spaces to safely (more or less) crash the ship.
Because of the spin, everyone on the ship began to tumble around, and it was near impossible to navigate through the corridors once the ship hit the atmosphere. The vibrations and the g-forces were too much, and everyone simply held on tight, as the ship descended.
Just before the ship hit the ground, the Grandmaster used the force to take the ship out of the spin and level its descent, allowing a more controlled crash.
When everyone came to, Bane Anded ordered the ship to evacuate, and for everyone to meet on the planet's surface.

When everyone was gathered together, Bane Anded addressed the survivors. There was Kenth Cogma, and Carnus Daye, and Ushi Makoth, and Gith Ranay.
Bane Anded: "You know why we are all here. It is time for this charade to end. Sith, you must show yourselves. Let this be our final battle!"
Gith Ranay: "I'm pretty sure you're a Sith, Bane!"
Kenth Cogma: "Yeah, why haven't the Sith attacked you and stuff?"
Ushi Makoth: "I'm almost certain you're a Sith, Cogma!"
Carnus Daye: "I think I can clear up this mystery for you....."

Carnus Daye: "I am not a Jedi! I am Carnus Daye, captain of the Ewok guard! I'm really happy for you Jedi, and I'm going to let you finish catching Sith, but I am among the greatest Ewok warriors of all time! Of all time!'
With that, Ushi Makoth laughed and removed her disguise as well.
Ushi Makoth: "It is good to see you still alive, Daye! Sorry, fellow 'Jedi' but I too am an impostor. I am Ushi "Tarzanius" Makoth, an even greater Ewok warrior than Carnus Daye could ever be, no offense Daye.
Gith Ranay: "Hold it right there, Ewoks! This smells awfully suspicious. Are you sure you aren't Sith just pretending to be Ewoks so you can get a free pass out of this hairy situation? Or should I say, furry...."
Kenth Cogma: "Oh Ranay, don't be so paranoid. Everything is just fine. In fact, I am not even a Jedi at all, I am indeed......"
"Princess Renata, the next ruler of the Ewok Kingdom! Bow before mighty Ewok royalty, feeble peasants!"
Gith Ranay: "Your grace! I bow humbly before thee, o mighty ruler of rulers!"
With that, the Third Ewok from the Left removed his realistic "Gith Ranay" mask that he bought on eBay for the low, low price of only 12 easy payments of 1,995 Republic Dataries.
Bane Anded: "This is impossible! I can't believe it.... all you friendly little furballs, somehow surviving this incredibly violent and completely fourth-wall shattering game. The Ewoks have all survived! And now it is Christmas Eve! Could it be.... could it be....? Could this be the Merriest Ewok Christmas Ever?"
Ewok Princess: "It's true, Grandmaster Anded! We have killed off the wicked Sith of the West and now you can tap your heels together three times and wish us back to our home, on the forest moon of Endor."
Bane Anded: "I've got something better in mind for you, my little furry friends. For I am not Bane Anded at all!"
Ewok Claus: "HO HO HO, MERRY CHRISTMAS, LITTLE ONES! I am glad that we all survived the terrible tragedy on board this vessel. I knew we could do it, if we worked together! Now, it is time for your Christmas presents to be handed out..... ah ah ah, don't open them until Christmas morning! And no peeking!"
Suddenly, the Force Ghost of Nomi Sunrider appeared before them all.
The baby Ewok princess shrieked and hid her face from the glowing figure.
Nomi Sunrider: "Jedi Grandmaster Ewok Claus, I hereby crown you king of all the Ewoks, and would like to offer you enough Republic credits to pay all your ewok toy-makers for another thousand years. Also, please accept this gift certificate for a free meal at Bennigans! Merry Christmas, my little furries!"

Okay, Okay, I'll get to work on the real writeup now. But just so you know, I didn't get all orders in until late, so don't wait up. Also this is Christmas Eve, so you know, enjoy your holiday. I'll give you guys enough time to wrap up this game.

Master Kenth Cogma was patrolling the halls, when suddenly, a cloaked figure approached him, and ignited a lime green saber, holding it in the Makashi form
Cogma responded by igniting his dark blue saber and holding it in the Soresu form.
The two combatants meditated for a moment, and then clashed sabers. Cogma held his ground, and the advantage. He was clearly a superior swordsman than his attacker. But the assassin reached deeper into the Force, and unleashed Force Valor, doubling the assassin's accuracy and strength. For a time, the assassin was able to keep up with Cogma, and they were evenly matched. However, Cogma was able to anticipate the assassin's movements through precognition. Cogma still held the advantage.
The assassin responded by unleashing a second lightsaber, wielding the twin blades in the advanced Niman form.
Kenth Cogma responded by reaching deep into the Force, and releasing a Force Whirlwind.
The cyclone gripped the assassin and lifted him up in the air, spinning him around and around, and then tossed him into a pile of scrap metal, allowing Cogma to escape.

Master Gith Ranay was returning to his quarters, when out of nowhere, a cloaked figure attacked him with a dark blue saber held in the Soresu style.
Reacting instinctively, Ranay unleashed a Force Whirlwind, tossing the attacker down the corridor and out of sight, allowing Ranay to escape unharmed.
Turning around, he noticed a second cloaked figure attacking him, this one with a lime green double-lightsaber, held in the advanced Juyo style. and he unleashed another Force Whirlwind, tossing the attacker down the corridor and out of sight as well.
Gith Ranay: "Did anyone just feel a draft?"

Master Carnus Daye was sitting peacefully in the Hangar Bay, meditating, when he was approached on two sides by a pair of cloaked figures.
Reacting quickly, Daye stood and ignited his dark blue saber. He used a quick Force Push to knock both of his attackers down and tried to escape.
The first assassin unleashed a deadly Force Storm, hitting Daye in the back, throwing him against the wall. As he tried to get up, he felt his mind spinning and his life being drained from him, as the entire deck seemed to darken, and the Penance was surrounded by a massive Force Maelstrom.
Daye quickly hurled both of his lightsabers into the air, attempting to destroy the second assassin, who was draining the Force from him. The lightsabers clattered to the deck, as Daye's telekinetic lightsaber maneuver failed to function.
As he began to lose consciousness, he was hit with another blast of intense lightning from the first assassin, who continued the massive Force Storm until Daye's body was torn apart by the blast. There was nothing left of him.
When the first assassin looked up, the second assassin was gone.

Master Kenth Cogma was nearly to his quarters, when he was approached by a cloaked figure.
Kenth Cogma: "So, you've come to kill me. You don't really think you'll get out of this alive, do you?"
Unknown: "I intend to."
With that, Kenth Cogma unleashed a flash of dark energy, attempting to suppress the force powers of his attacker.
Unknown: "I have become more powerful than you can possibly imagine, Darth. That little trick isn't going to work."
Kenth Cogma: "If you think you are more powerful than I, you're gravely mistaken."
Reaching deep into the Force, Kenth Cogma unleashed another cyclonic blast of the Force, attempting to trap the assassin inside swirling chaos. The whirlwind lifted the attacker up off of the ground, spinning it around and around, slamming the being into the ceiling, the deck, the walls, and any debris caught in its wake. Dropping the facade of his Jedi persona, Kenth Cogma spoke to the assassin in a booming, malevolent voice.
Darth Khaan: "You miserable weakling! You could never become as powerful as I am. I could crush you and this entire ship at any time! I have the power to kill you with a single thought, just by staring at you and concentrating! I could cause your pathetic body to burst into flames! I could pull the soul straight out of your body! I could fry you with force lightning, or blow you apart with one powerful blast! You are no threat to me, don't you know who I am? I am your executioner, you festering sack of rotting bantha flesh!"
Darth Khaan hurled the attacker against a nearby wall, and ignited both of his crimson lightsabers to finish off the assassin, held in the Makashi style.
The assassin stood, having finished charging up the required dark energy.
Unknown: "I disagree."
With that, the assassin began screaming victoriously, generating a massive sonic blast which hurled Darth Khaan against the outer bulkhead. The assassin lifted up both hands, and began focusing this dark energy into a terrible beam of unimaginably destructive power. Within seconds, the assassin unleashed the full fury of Force Destruction against the Dark Lord of the Sith, ripping the body of the Dark Lord apart, and blasting the remains clear into space.
The deck began to decompress, but almost instantly, the structural integrity force fields engaged, keeping the assassin from being blown out into space as well.
The dark assassin left the scene, laughing hysterically.

Suddenly, a figure made out of light appeared before the Council. It was Darth Khaan, back from the Netherworld of the Force. Even though he was not exactly as he once was, he was still able to command the minds of the weak, and as such, he was still able to influence the Jedi Council's vote tally....

Bane Anded noted that time had expired, and asked for a vote. A few of the Force Ghosts also showed up, and made their accusations.
"Have we reached a verdict?" Anded asked.
The votes were counted.
"Yes we have, Grandmaster" said one of the Jedi.
"Who has been found guilty?"
"You have, your grace."
"......You can't be serious."
Ushi Makoth: "Don't look at me, I think it's Gith Ranay."
Gith Ranay: "I think it's obviously Ushi Makoth."
Va'ard Kypaz: "I don't trust you, Grandmaster Anded."
Sinadd No: "Indeed, you seem to have a death wish. Why aren't you at least trying to destroy the Sith?"
Ushi Makoth: "What are you saying? He's not trying to destroy the Sith?"
Gith Ranay: "Is this true, Grandmaster?"
Bane Anded's eyes darkened, and he smirked at the remaining Jedi.
Bane Anded: "Why throw a Sith out into space? That seems like such an unfitting end to a riveting tale."
Sio Eroseeth: "What? What are you saying? This isn't a game, Anded! Their lives are at stake!"
Bane Anded: "I simply prefer to do things my own way.... I don't believe in Nomi Sunrider's way. It is not my way. This.... system of justice.... it isn't just. It never was. It's nothing more than a lynch mob. The slow, painful deaths.... cruel and unusual punishment. And for what? Why are we executing our own people?"
Va'ard Kypaz: "There are murderers among us, Bane! You've seen what they've done to us!"
Bane Anded: "So we would murder our murderers, and anyone else who might stand in our way? That would make us better than them, I am sure. We are better because we have a different philosophy. We deny ourselves the Dark Side. They do not. So, these are not fair trials based on the shared goal of justice, but instead, politically-motivated lynch killings. That is not the way of the Light Side of the Force. The shadow of hypocrisy, that is...."
Ushi Makoth: "What is your perfect solution then, Bane? What is your better method?"
Bane Anded: "I never claimed to have a perfect solution. I also never said I had a better method. But, I will not lie and suggest that our methods are superior.... and that we are inherently better than the Sith. Simply because we have an inconsistent ideology that makes us feel better, and they remain consistently ruthless; that does not mean we are better than they. The Sith and the Jedi, from my point of view, are similar in almost every way. They both crave power.... but one side seeks to use that power, to wield it unashamedly, without apology. The other side seeks to suppress and deny to themselves their own feelings; to live a lie. To deny half of the Force because of some ancient superstitions and strange views on morality, to uphold some hypocritical, inconsistent viewpoint, to grandstand about good and evil, when there is no such thing. There is no good, there is no evil, there is only power. There is no Light Side and no Dark Side, there is only the Force. Through control of the Force, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free."
Ushi Makoth gripped her lightsabers. Gith Ranay did the same.
Ushi Makoth: "YOU.... you're one of them, Bane! I can feel the Dark Side in you!"
Gith Ranay: "It's true, I can feel the Dark Side.... it is palpable."
Bane Anded: "Put those things away, before you hurt yourselves."
Ushi Makoth: "No, Bane! The fallen Jedi have spoken. They believe it is you, and that it has always been you, all along. You're either Sith or you're working with the Sith to destroy the Order!"
Bane Anded: "Oh, it is not I who has destroyed the Jedi Order. You have done that yourselves. You fools couldn't have brought down the Sith without me. It was I who murdered Darth Fermanagh, and put that miserable worm to death a second time. It was I who killed Darth Sigurd. It was I who killed Darth Khaan. It was I who led you to Darth Kojiro. And you couldn't possibly eliminate the final Sith without me.... you need me. You need my POWER. And now you think you can just use me like a weapon, and then discard me when you're done?
Don't you realize who the I am?"
Bane Anded: "I am the Light Side of the Force. But I am also the Dark Side. They are one and the same.

Bane Anded: "Unlimited power! Power unleashed from the shackles of Jedi prudishness. Power unrestrained by the cynical view of the Sith. I have shown you that the Dark Side can be used for good, and the Light Side can be used for evil. You would seek to deny power to those with a differing point of view, all without realizing that good is also a point of view. I should have known all along that all the Jedi care about is power, and denying that power to themselves and others. You're nothing but a pack of ancient, religious zealots. And the Sith, all they care about is power, and denying that power to the Jedi, while also embracing a narrow point of view that denies the Light Side of the Force. They are no better. This has been nothing but a religious war since the start. And this farce of a trial has been nothing more than an Inquisition!
Yes, I've killed Jedi. I've killed Sith. What's the difference? You both have put Jedi and Sith to death. There is no difference between us. Or should I say almost no difference. I am not going to stand here and deny myself the Force; I see through the lies of the Jedi. And I bow before no master but the Force, and I will not be manipulated into serving only the Dark Side. And I will know a power greater than that of any Jedi.... or any Sith. I have become the most powerful Jedi ever. I even know how to save people from dying.... I hold life and death in my very hands.... I have become ONE with the Force."
Ushi Makoth: "I cannot allow the Jedi Order to be commanded by a power-craving madman. This is the end for you, my Master."
Bane Anded: "Oh really? Then I take it back. I was perfectly content to remain neutral and let you decide amongst yourselves, but if you think you can kill me and become Grandmaster of the Order, then you are a threat to me. So I have changed my mind.... I am not going to abstain or even vote for myself... I vote that we destroy YOU, Makoth."

Gith Ranay: "......I don't trust you, Bane, but I think you've killed enough Sith. I don't think you're one of them. I think you've been trying to help us in your own way. And I cannot face the Sith without your help. Let us both destroy the Sith!"
Ushi Makoth: "WHAT? Ranay, he just stood there and told us how wrong the Jedi Order was, and how wonderful the Dark Side is, and how powerful he's become! You are making a very big mistake! A very, very big mistake!"
Gith Ranay: "You attacked me last night.... he did not. That was your mistake. Now, are you going to go quietly, or do we have to take you down by force?"
Ushi Makoth: "This, again? I thought we already went over this. I am not a Sith...."
Bane Anded: "I don't care if you are, or you are not. I am the Grandmaster, and I won't allow you to take away my power."
Gith Ranay: "I, on the other hand, do think you are a Sith, Makoth. Show us who you really are."
*lightsabers ignited*
Darth Abnoba: "Curse you, Bane.... we could have destroyed the Jedi Order together.... we could have ruled the galaxy.... but once again, you side with those pathetic little insects. The only thing standing between you and real power is that stupid goat Ranay. Dispose of him, and be done with it. If you want real power, this is the only way. It is useless to resist. Don't make me destroy you....."
Bane Anded: "I don't need the help of a Sith. I could have joined you, yes.... but I am not willing to submit to you. I am far more powerful than you could ever hope to be. You think you could be my Master? You're not even a Sith Lord. And I know how the Sith regard the Dark Jedi.... just as the Jedi have demonstrated on this ship. I am nothing but a pawn to you, a tool that you can use and be done with. You seek to wield my power, and then dispose of me when you don't need me anymore. It is that same arrogance that blinds the Jedi that I sense in you. Talk about unwarranted self-importance. That was your final mistake."
With that, Bane Anded's eyes began to glow.... and he concentrated on the young Sith Apprentice.
She felt pain.... terrible pain....
Her clothes burst into flames, as she began screaming in horror and agony. She tried to run away, but Bane Anded simply lifted the Sith in the air, preventing it from moving away. Her burning body struggled, but soon went limp and lifeless. The charred remains dropped to the deck, and Darth Abnoba was no more.
Gith Ranay just stood there in shock.

Premise
After Sigurd's game, which was certainly innovative and fun and popular enough to be in the running for Game of the Year, it got me thinking about the Star Wars game I wanted to host, and how lame it was in comparison.
I actually ended up using my idea for Star Wars for my Star Fox: Lylat Wars game, which was to have the Emperor Palpatine (Andross, in this case) embedded among the Separatists, with a goal to destroy all Loyalists and all the Separatists. As you might remember, this turned into Andross being embedded among the Star Wolf team, attempting to use them as puppets and destroy them at the final moment. Should the Wolf team outlive Andross, they would become true mafia, and have the goal of ruling the Cornerian system for themselves. Instead, they had a chance to win with the Cornerians/neutrals, as long as they achieved their personal goals.
When Sigurd's Star Wars game was done, he was met with enormous praise for his exceptional work, and some criticisms of the game setup. Whether the criticisms were fair or not, it was agreed that the outcome of the game was basically forced to be a showdown between a Jedi Grandmaster and two Sith, and unless the Sith were not very powerful, the Grandmaster would lose, and the Master Sith would probably defeat the Apprentice Sith and become the sole winner of the game. Some didn't like that system as much, and felt that the game was less a mafia game and more like a battle royale. As awesome as that game was, the Jedi felt like there needed to be a way to break the cycle of infinite recruitment; or at the very least, be able to destroy the Master and the Apprentice in rapid succession to stop them from continuing to recruit Jedi. When he offered to let someone see his game files, images, and so forth, I eagerly volunteered. He also allowed for someone to use them if they wanted to, and I asked if I could make a sequel. I took some of the honest feedback from the other players and began from square one. I had already used my previous idea for the Lylat game, so I wanted to accomplish two things.
1. Do a service to the original game, and not alter too much of what everyone found awesome about it.
2. Make the game just as unpredictable and fun as the first, even though the basic premise has been done before.
I liked the idea of the Rule of Two, and because it was based in canon Star Wars information, I left that in; A Master, and an Apprentice. The master could recruit a new apprentice, and the apprentice could replace the fallen Master and recruit another apprentice. What I changed was, I didn't make everyone susceptible to recruitment, based on feedback from the previous game. I also didn't make recruitment random or automatic, based on that same feedback. I felt that system worked great for what Sigurd was trying to accomplish; in this game, I wanted to try out a different system.
Dark One
But I did like the idea of a Sith Mastermind, in the same vein as Palpatine... a dark puppetmaster in the shadows, controlling everyone and everything while at the same time pretending to be a model Jedi.... concealed by an illusion so powerful, only a Grandmaster could conclusively determine they were Sith. This Mastermind would be the most powerful Sith of all time.... a Dark Force capable of keeping the Sith from extinction, and using them as his puppets without their knowledge. He would be nearly unbeatable in one-on-one combat, and could nearly defeat the entire Jedi Order by himself.
Obviously, the Sith are not a unified force. There is already a Rule of Two. But this Sith would be the Rule of One.... an ancient Dark Lord, centuries old, with the goal of raising an army and overthrowing the Republic, using the Sith as his pawns, so that he could conquer the entire galaxy, and become strong enough with the Dark Side to become immortal, and maintain everlasting and eternal domination over all other beings. This Sith would destroy the Jedi utterly, and wipe away all of history, so that there would never be any knowledge of the Jedi, or the Light Side of the Force. This Sith would crush everyone who stands in his way, and spread propaganda which would convince generations upon generations of sentient beings to believe that he is the Creator and the Destroyer of worlds, a God incarnate, the ultimate judge and the purest force of Good in the galaxy.
In time, he would be worshiped as a God and given anything that he wanted, which was total, undisputed power over everyone and everything in the Universe. Immune to death, protected by the Force, and utterly unstoppable, even by armies and battleships, this Sith would become the Dark Lord of the Universe... the One Sith to rule them all, pardon the pun. What could I possibly name this Dark Lord besides Darth Kojiro, honestly? It's the only name which fits.
Such a powerful being needs a counterweight. The Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, the most powerful representative of the Light Side of the Force, could indeed destroy this Dark One. The Grandmaster would learn ways to counter the Dark Side, and penetrate his cloak. Near-unbeatable in combat, the Grandmaster would also be able to develop specific attacks and defenses which could counter the dark side powers that a Dark Lord of the Sith could use. However, to be fair, since the Grandmaster also has the Jedi Council and legions of Padawans and Initiates at his or her disposal, the Grandmaster must start with significantly less power than the Dark Lord, and must be forced to learn over time the techniques that can be used to destroy it.
However, the Jedi Council itself is numerous, and just barely powerful enough to bring the Dark One to justice, if they are clairvoyant enough to determine who this Dark One is, and repeatedly attempt to destroy this being. On the second attempt, the Dark One will be overcome by their numbers, and defeated. So a strong Grandmaster is not necessary to counter this Dark One.
Sith Lords
The Sith Lords..... the Rule of Two. They would also be able to counter this Dark Lord's power. The Sith Lord (Darth Sigurd) and his apprentice would have access to 5 out of 6 types of Dark Side attacks, the Sith Lord would have access to tier III powers and the apprentice would have access to tier II powers. They would eventually both be able to attack twice, giving them up to 4 different powerful attacks in a given night, and so together, they were indeed more powerful than the Dark One. They could have penetrated Kojiro's cloak and defeated him with a single shot, but 4 different powerful attacks at the same time? Odds were against Kojiro surviving such an assault. And so, if the Sith Lords discovered who Kojiro was, they could have destroyed him themselves.
Jedi Order
So the Grandmaster, the Normal Jedi, and the Sith Lords were all able to counter Kojiro. But there was another faction.... a far weaker faction. In this game, I wanted there to be an alignment system that was more nuanced than the previous game. In the last game, only the Jedi Grandmaster couldn't be converted. Everyone else was susceptible. I felt it was more realistic for actions and events to affect alignment, such that a Jedi can become stronger with the Light Side, or stronger with the Dark Side.
If a Jedi fell far enough to the Dark Side, they would have used forbidden powers or broken the Jedi Code in such a way that they would normally be expelled from the Jedi Order. The Dark Side would be so tempting that it would be difficult to turn back to the light side, but not impossible. When a Jedi falls to the Dark Side, they become neutral, and their goal then becomes either to survive the game, return to the light side so they can be redeemed, or become a Sith and win with the Sith. When a Jedi falls to the Dark Side, they become capable of learning more and more Dark Side powers. Using these powers can push you even further to the Dark Side. Dishonorable or evil acts can also cause one to fall to the Dark Side. Heroic and selfless acts, or proper teachings, can turn someone back from the Dark Side. The only ones who couldn't be redeemed were the Sith.
Fallen Jedi
Generally all alone, and not as strong with the light or dark sides as other Jedi/Sith, the Dark Jedi were the weakest "faction" in the game. They were either a neutral vigilante with a survival goal and a way to win with the Jedi, or a serial killer bent on destruction of the Jedi, depending on your point of view. But they, too, had a path to power which could allow them to destroy the Sith (or the Jedi).
Dark Side powers are generally stronger offensively in this game. A Dark Side Jedi can feed on its own dark side powers, and become stronger and stronger with the Dark Side. The further they fall, the more powerful they become. They will start to learn Dark Side powers every single night, and eventually learn nothing but Dark Side powers, if they live long enough.
Through this, it was possible for some Jedi to fall completely to the Dark Side, and destroy the Sith using their own Dark Side powers. Then, if they chose, they could win with the Jedi Order, and be forgiven for their fall to the Dark Side, because they used it in defense of the Republic, and of their fellow Jedi, and a path toward redemption was discovered. Perhaps, with a Dark Jedi Grandmaster, the Jedi Order could become enlightened enough to use the Dark Side for knowledge and defense, and not for evil. They could learn to control it. And therefore, the Jedi and the Dark Jedi would become essentially one. Falling to the Dark Side left one vulnerable to the temptations of the Sith. They could easily be turned to serve the Sith.
Bane of the Dark Side
Realizing that no one began the game as a Neutral Jedi, and also realizing it was entirely possible for most of the game to go by without anyone becoming Dark Jedi, I didn't want a Dark Jedi faction to be a weakling afterthought. I wanted the Dark Jedi to have a chance, even a slim one, to win.
So, I wanted to have a Neutral Jedi right from the start. Here are the issues with that:
1. A neutral Jedi has a survival goal. It's unlikely to survive 66 other players, without executing some kind of.... order.... involving the number sixty-something. Therefore, this Jedi can't be a total weakling, for starters.
2. This Neutral Jedi would become overpowered if they learned Dark Side powers too quickly. Therefore, their alignment needed to be further "light side" at the start than normal.
3. It needed to be possible for this Neutral to go fully light side, so they can win even in death.
4. It needed to be possible for this Neutral to become a Sith, so they can win that way as well.
5. This Neutral needed to scan as not strong with the Dark Side, at least at first, so they wouldn't be mistaken for a Sith and lynched early. That's just unfair.
6. This Neutral needed a way to gain dark side points and eliminate rivals. Thus, this neutral needed to be a vigilante.
For balancing purposes, I made this Neutral naturally resistant to the influence of the Sith, so that this anomaly wouldn't simply be absorbed into the Sith Order, and forgotten/have no impact on the game. So, only a tier II conversion would be able to turn this one into a Sith, no matter how powerful he became with the Dark Side.
In this way, this outsider.... this rogue Jedi, could become a powerful assassin, working to save the Jedi Order.... working, perhaps, to destroy the Sith. He certainly wants to be independent, and does not want to be Sith. They would have to prove how much more powerful they were than him, in order to secure his reluctant loyalty. Thus, Bane was created. The Dark knight of the Jedi order, their most powerful weapon besides the Grandmaster.
Should Bane fall all the way to the Dark Side, he would gain Dark Side Mastery and become almost like a Grandmaster himself, and be able to learn 5 dark side powers per night until maximum. Then he would truly be deadly. And, just like the Sith, if he should ever become Grandmaster, then he will be able to learn his Dark Side powers from the Sith holocron data contained in the Jedi Holocron, and the Light Side Powers contained within the Jedi Holocron. However, given the unique nature of this character, he would be effectively a Sith Grandmaster and a Jedi Grandmaster combined; with Dark Side Mastery and Light Side Grandmaster-level powers, he would have the potential to be the most powerful Jedi ever.
It took a long time, but Bane Anded was able to attain Dark Side Mastery, and he also became Grandmaster of the Order. As he was now the most powerful Jedi in history, he was granted the title "Supreme Grandmaster", and sought to re-make the Jedi Order in his own image.... abandoning much of the rigid Jedi Code, and teaching of the power of the Dark Side, even more openly than Nomi Sunrider ever did.
He was able to win utterly with any others like him, the Dark Jedi. He was also able to win with the Sith, in a major victory, not quite as satisfying but still crushing. He could also win with the Jedi, if the Sith got stomped to death too soon. He could also decide to go for the solo victory anyway, if the Sith were all destroyed. And thus, Bane had a chance of winning even though he loses if he dies, and began with such a large handicap.
Now, we had a game on our hands.
