No more EB after installing Windows7..and not even Vanilla is running

I'm really desperate! I changed from Windows XP to Windows7, which is working just fine for every other application, but after installing EB - it doesn't start...i made it just like in the installation guide, first i installed Rome TW, the Gold Version, then made a clean copy and installed EB, the 1.2 patch and then the fixes - but it doesn't start. Just showing the Vanilla starting screen for a second, then nothing more. And the Vanilla doesn't start as well, just the same short moment of the screen, then nothing. That makes me really wonder...it's the the same hardware as before and with XP it was running just fine, but now with Windows7 it doesn't...what can i do now?

1. Disable movies
2. Start the application with admin-rights and under XP compatibility mode
3. Install EB outside Program Files
4. If none of this helps you, report back, we'll figure that out!

to be honest: i have no idea, what "Disable movies" means, but lukily the second point made my EB running again...thank you very much!!!!

It's more than likely that you've installed RTW in the default installation directory. Do not do this in windows vista or windows 7. Instead, install RTW and then EB into something like C:\Games\RTW
