Historical battles

Could anyone tell me how the coordinates and the direction in the army txt files are related to the map?
where is the (0,0) for the coordinated? left bottom corner? what are the max value on the x and y ?
what about the direction?

Direction is 0 degrees to 359 degrees

So lets say O is north then 180 is south
and so on.

O,O is the bottom right I think, the map grid is
100 meters = 5000.

I can't remember what the max map size is
but you can deploy off the map.

So lets say the max map size you can play
on is 50,000x50,000
and you give a unit coords 55,500x25,000
then the unit will appear off the map
and walk onto the map just like reinforcements.
