Yeah.. I still remember Medieval: total war XL, kept me playing Med 1 until my new computer refused to run it :/
Sad it didn't make the list :/

Certainly deserved!
Great work, every EB member out there, you absolutely deserve this!

A big hand to my fellows, of whom I have only had the grace of joining relatively recently.
Cheers!
EDIT: Heh, I notice that the other major mod I work for, BC, also placed high, at #4.

Congratulations! Honestly though, how could EB not have been ranked at number 1!
I can probably go as far to say EB is the best game I have ever played.
We love you because you died and resurrected to save us...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Its great to see EB there - and thoroughly deserved - but some of the other choices are a little questionable IMO. And certainly the ommission of Stainless Steel does take away a lot of the list's credibility in my eyes.
Hmm... They also seem to have been rather, shall we say, selective in how they chose to trumpet the advantages of each mod, like how they specifically pointed out that Surrectum allows you to recruit certain units only from certain provinces, but completely fail to mention that EB does the exact same thing. Indeed, the way they word it, they make EB sound both overly bookish and unfun as well as Barbarian-centric, probably not on purpose (they did, after all, but EB at the top of their list), but it does point to a certain degree of, frankly, incompetance on their part. Its great to see EB there - and thoroughly deserved - but some of the other choices are a little questionable IMO. I mean really, "five new factions to diversify the barbarian forces"? Say what!? At most there is only one more "Barbarian" faction in EB compared to RTW, and that's only if you count Saka as being barbarian!* And even if you do, they and either the Aedui or Arverni are only two of the five new factions in EB, with Eperios, Saba and Baktria not being "barbarian" factions at all and the old "barbarian" faction of Thrace actually having been removed! Seriously, where do these people get off?
*In RTW the "barbarian" factions were Spain, Britannia, Gauls, Germans, Dacia, Thrace and (if you count them) the Scythians. Thrace effectively became the Arverni (I tend to count the Aeudi as being the carry-over of the "Gauls" faction from RTW simply because of the similar faction symbol), which leaves Saka (if you count it) as the only "barbarian" faction EB has in excess of the number of such factions RTW had.
