What patches should i get?

So i recently bought Medieval 2 Total War Gold Edition. This includes. Medieval 2 Total War, Medieval 2 Total War Britannia, Medieval 2 Total War Crusades, Medieval 2 Total War Americas, and Medieval 2 Total War Teutonic.

My Questions are fairly simple. And please bear with my lack of knowledge on this game :)

1) What patches do i need? And if i do where do i get them?

2) Does this mean i have the Kingdoms expansion? If not were do i get this?

3) How do I access Battle map editor and Campaign Map editor If there are editors? Can one make Historic battles? And were can I download Custom maps, historic battles and Campaigns?

4) Any helpful hints or tips that do not involve cheating? i.e. ive sen how to unlock factions, proud to say i unlocked them through the campaign

Don't quote me on this, but I think kingdoms patches to 1.4 and you can download 1.5 on the internet somewhere. I don't know what changes they make. Oh, and you have kingdoms expansion with the crusade campaign, tutonic, americas and brittania.
