This game is inspired by a former mini-mafia game to run on the site. The idea is that the players may only express themselves in the forms of haiku poems, that is, non-rhyming verses of 5-7-5 mora (roughly, "syllables") - examples to come, and more may be found in the thread of the precursor game. On this point, this game will differ from the former game in some respects: You are allowed to post several "verses" in one post, as opposed to the artifical "one verse per post"-rule in the former game (to prevent cluttering; this game will also have more than double the amount of players, so it will be a necessity).
Also: Only the syllabic form of haiku is required by the players; other characteristics of haiku such as the kigo and kireji are not required (although inclusion is of course impressive).
Finally, votes and unvotes may be made outside the poems if needed.
Don't sign up for the game if you do not plan on following the required form; a single accidental offence (misjudging the syllabic construction of a word, per example) can happen, but ignorance of the format will result in a Wrath of God punishment if done on purpose.
The game will have a single mafia faction, and several other "special" roles. They will not differ a lot from normal mafia roles, but be prepared for some minor quirks underway.
The structure of the game will be traditional day/night phases, and the "events of the night" writeup that launches each day will describe the happenings in haiku form - but other parts of the writeups will probably be in standard prose. An example - and illustration of a haiku for those waiting for one - would be that if mafia role "Talon" murders a vanilla townie (Diamondeye), who is being tracked by special role "Hawk":
Diamondeye walks
under the moonlit night sky,
being watched by two
Yet seeing no one,
he is struck by the Talon,
and the moon is gone.
In darkness above,
A Hawk loses sight of him.
But it smells his blood.
This means that, comparing several writeups, readers of the thread will be able to make out the role names of those who are active at night - perhaps even try and link them to a function.
With all that out of the way, for this game, I am looking for around 15 players. Of course, it'd be aesthetically pleasing to have exactly 17 players - so if there are that many signups (or more), the limit is 17.
Signups (11):
God Emperor - lynched day 2, safeguard
Sprig
ByzantineKnight - killed night 2
Captain Blackadder
Landlubber - killed night 1
ZackAskThePizzaGuy
Renata
Classical_Hero - lynched day 3
