At least around the time Fragony wrote this, the suspicion that they were radical leftists was still everything that was known, I don't see anything wrong in what he said.
In fact you might want to substantiate your anarchism statement a bit better, or are you just pulling that out of thin air?
Yes, because the papers always ges their facts and definitions straight.

The "radical leftist groups" they are reffering to are anarchist groups. It's kinda like calling national socialism the "extreme(radical) right"; the right believes in the free market, and one would think that the extreme right believed extremely in the market, while national socialism doesn't have all that much faith in the market.

AFAIK, frags defines "the left" as wanting state control. Thus, a "radical leftist group" would logically support much state control; but does an anarchist want state control?

Anarchists who go nuts because they want to retire at 55... not quite it. We have these clowns here as well, call themselves anarchists but their ideas are ultra-totalitarian. Marxism is a revolutionary ideoligy, not anarchist since government is just replaced.

.....But they're not just marxists, there are all kinds of anarchist and communists involved in the rioting in Greece. Everything from libertarian anarchists to collectivist anarchists and yes some marxists as well. You wouldn't call the anarchists who associate with the tea party movement leftists, would you? Well, that same kind of anarchists exists in Greece too, and they are of course rioting same as everyone else.

Ye Gods can we have a stickied thread on the Backroom utilises the two axis approach to political leanings - Left / Right and Libertarian / Totalitarian?
