The naval screens and deck battle were quite impressive. I wonder if there is a way for ships to sink and the like. Other than hitting rocks and such.
edit: Wouldn't it be nice if you could set fire to the enemy ship while aboard or from your own ship? Is that possible as far as Japanese history goes? With flaming arrows or the like, not including cannon if they even carried them aboard a ship. I no nothing of such matters!

Not so sure about the mast/sail in the last pic, nothing impressive there.
Very nice.
Which clan has the red and black?
Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The mon on the red banner shown is Takeda; the blue mon on the map is Hojo.
Unit stats shown for "Light Cavalry":
Morale: 8
Melee Attack: 4
Melee Defense: 1
Charge Bonus: 20
Bonus vs. Cavalry: 5
Armor: 2
Run Speed: 12
These are all familiar. Have to compare these to the old Yari cavalry stats.
Very happy to see Save Army Setup, and "Load Setup" with options. Perhaps this is old school for those who have played the more recent games, but I haven't, and missed these in the older games.
40-man command unit, it seems
160-man archer and Yari sam units
60-man cavalry units
200-man Ashi units
Tab differentiation between normal and "veteran" units available.

Be intent on loyalty
While others aspire to perform meritorious services
Concentrate on purity of intent
While those around you are beset by egoism
