Factions

So I tried to cut and paste the Factions from unlock-able to playable in the Desc_strat file but it wouldn't let me save it, but i figured no biggie i would just beat the short campaign as the Venetians which I did but now only the Milanese were added as playable. Do I have to beat the campaign with all the playable factions first to unlock the rest?

If you right click on the descr-strat and change the (un mark read only) property you can change the file and save it. If you win a short campaign you should have unlocked all the factions.
