Are you sure you are royalty?
An ancestor of yours having sold the lands of your tribe to the British in exchange for some trinkets and a few dollars does not mean you are royalty. That he and the other headmen of the tribe signed a treaty with 'Queen Victoria' does not imply they are her equal, nor even, perhaps, that he was a sovereign.
I must confess I am not aware of sovereignity in tribal North America. Is there a sovereign to every tribe? Hereditary? Combined with title to territory?
I myself am no doubt descended from Charlemagne, but that does not mean I'm emperor. I must have countless Gaul chieftains as my ancestors, who all signed away their lands to Caesar. This does not mean that I'm Celtic royalty and that my family dealt with Roman Emperors on an equal footing.

YES, we get to talk about Genghis Khan - 8% of the men in a large region of Asia (about 0.5% of the men in the world) are apparently descended from him. That's quite an achievement, never mind the sack, rape and pillage of the world's largest continent.
Really? Good for Carlomagno aswell then!
What about a game of Top-Trumps with despotic/absolute rulers: Population ruled = 2 million people, Genealogical descendancy -unbeatable!
