Some would say that what an Afghan cab driver does in his free time is none of our bloody business and that we should debate him

Anyway, you know something is rotten in your country if it isn't legally possible to simply pick up the "cab driver -Taleban fighter during his holidays" and send him back to whatever country the plane/boat/bus he arrived with, hailed from. And shoot him if he refuses to leave voluntarily. There are limits.

Remember how everyone on this board went nuts when British troops were targetted by Al-Q at their homes....?

Wasn't it more the fact that they had the nerve to live in the country as citizens, then go kill its own soldiers? Much like this cab driver...

    Ah.

So nobody has an issue with Taliban fighters killing british soldiers in the presence of their families, as long as they do it on a tourist visa?

It removes the problem I stated above. Of course, it is not acceptable for soldiers to conduct themselves as you describe, be they from the Taliban or the British Army.

I have a hard time understanding how this guy can on the one hand make the most of the UK and on the other spend the proceeds of his comfortable existence in (potentially) attacking UK troops. How can he rationalise that? Living and benefiting from something he also objects to. I'm sure it's not that simple but the guy could surely have based himself in a country without forces in Afghanistan -and avoid such a contradiction.

Maybe he thinks it's awesome because each and every british passenger helps him finance the resistance against british troops? As in he's destroying them with their own money, they finance their own downfall.

Pesticides are used although we know it doesn't solve the problem. In the example given, removing the individuals from the UK (or more accurately, refusing them the right to return) would be a move towards sustainability.

Hmm. The sustainability of China's internal "peace" rests on the Government's ability to maintain growth at a steady-ish 8%PA.
