Where did these massive debts come from, if spending money works so well? The UK economy should be doing great, as we had a decade of increasing spending. You seem to want to focus on measures to rectify the deficits without acknowledging how they got there. The UK has a AAA rating mainly as it is managing to show it can repay debts.
