    Default EB site misinformation

Whilst reading the faction preview for the Bactrian kingdom (the History section) I found a small mistake; It reads that Diodotus I himself was ousted and killed by Euthydemus around 230; however it was his son Diodotus II who at that time was king.

I expect it is a honest typo (II -> I).

"The Baktrian Kingdom was founded around 250 BC by the Seleukid King Antiochos II's satrap Diodotos in the region, when he secured his satrapy's independence from the seemingly irresponsible Seleukids. Though Diodotos' reign was relatively free of major emergencies, it was exceedingly brief, and was ended by one of the first internal feuds that characterized Baktrian politics for almost all of it's history.
In 230 BC, Diodotos was overthrown and killed by Euthydemos..."

Beats me. I just went with “reads that Diodotos I was ousted ...” and took it from there. Anyway from what you quote I'm guessing the intended meaning was:
“In 230 BC, his son, Diodotos II, was overthrown and killed by Euthydemos”

This is a mistake indeed. Don't worry, nothing like this in EB 2 ^^
