    Default 2010-2011 Ashes Thread

For those familiar with the game of cricket we can discuss the current Ashes series in this thread.

I'll start it off... Apparently in the Aussie camp, Mitch Johnson is dropped for either Bollinger or Harris. Personally I would rather Harris in, I think he's a good player and from my experiences of watching him as a redback (before his switch), he is very good. Also I rekon we need to drop North, but he won't be dropped...

Ehhh, I don't care about the cricket. Especially the current team. Give me the line up of Shane Warne cricket '98.

Hahaha outstanding! I tell you what, Warnie is definately still good enough to make the team. McGrath is looking a bit pudgy though.

I dunno, he could still put the ooh in my aah, Glenn McGrath.

Hear me? I said ooh ah Glenn McGrath.

That huge second wicket stand was pretty good though.

I'm going to the Adelaide test day 1 and 2, so whoever wins the toss will be batting for a long time and making alot of runs. But then again Adelaide has a new curator, who knows, the pitch might have some life in it. Actually what frustrates me is that I want North dropped badly, but the on the Adelaide pitch he'll make a 100 and stay in and do nothing for the rest of the series.

Although I thought the second wicket stand was great, the English stand out did us. At the time of watching I was pretty peeved but now you can admit it was a masterclass.

Hopefully we bat first, but the weather forecast doesn't look too promising. A bit of rain early next week might cut us 2 days short

You a fan? How has the media been in the UK? At present England looks the slightly classier team and I'm guessing the series might end up in a 2-1 result...hopefully in our way :D *fingers crossed*

    What does that even mean?
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

    They did really well.

Kinda like baseball, but instead of 3 outs, you have 10 wickets(outs) to an inning. Each batsmen can only bat once.

Runs are the same as baseball, but instead of running around a diamond, you only have to run like 20 metres.

EDIT: Aussies currently 2/0. So much for a batting pitch!

EDIT2: Watched England bat all day yesterday, we had absolutely no firepower. Didn't even create half chances, but I admit the Barmy Army was fun to watch. As much as I dislike their team, their supporters are really good.
