The pale glow of the moon illuminated the features of the night, casting a thin shadow behind them, revealing a tiny village bordered by two cliffs. Upon the crags of the cliff, a tall gaunt man stood, his face ridged with lines of age and his eyes reflected that of one who had seen many atrocities committed. Lightning crackled overhead, but his face remained passive despite his elevated position.
He bore a staff of oak, with mystical runes of power engraved upon it at regular intervals. Looking down at the village in the valley, he grinned wickedly, and raised his staff and began chanting. Garbled phrases of an unknown language began pouring out of his mouth and the air grew fey.
The young man who crouched in the shadows felt the hairs on the back of his neck start to rise. His knuckles whitened as he gripped his dagger tighter, as if it would reassure himself that he was safe. Perhaps it was time to make good his escape to warn the townsfolk. He began to slowly sneak away but was suddenly lifted high into the air and slammed down in front of the spell caster. By virtue of his tight grip, the dagger was still in his hands, and he desperately sought to thrust it forward into the spell caster who was but a hand's span away. T'was not to be so, as he found himself not in control of his own body, his jaws refused to open, and his limbs lifeless at his side, the dagger slipping from his grasp onto the dirt with a solid thump.
“We’ll have none of that my dear, you’ll stay right here and watch this marvelous show.” The spell caster said with a manic look in his eyes.
Trying to yell or drop off the cliffs so that at least the townsfolk would know something amiss when they discovered his body, the young man failed miserably and could only lie there and watch helplessly as the spell began proper.
“One more atrocity wouldn’t hurt at all, just one more.” The man’s grin widened, to reveal teeth filed to edges, sharp and deadly.

Welcome to my first small game, the Manifestation of Darkness! You are, well most of you anyways, townsfolk living in the usually peaceful lakeside village of Veridus who if not for this situation would be peacefully living your lives with your typical routine. It now falls upon your shoulders to defeat the evil that has come to plague the land, or be consumed by the encroaching darkness
Rules:
-No wholesale quoting of your role pm or abilities, I'll allow paraphrases or general descriptions. Its always best to check with me at the start of the game once you've received your role pm what you're allowed to reveal in specifics to yourself since it may vary from person to person. Just send the query along during the early game
-Voting should be done in a bolded format such as Vote: Death is Yonder or Unvote: Death is Yonder
I'm not too particular about the general formating so as long as you have bolded your vote and it has the word vote before it (basically it being obviously a vote) I won't mind
-Out of thread communication is permitted but as usual, kindly refrain from quoting over your role pm or results or similar things
-No Lynch is not a valid option for voting, however, abstains are permitted
-Especially, no screenshots of chat logs or the like, but you may type it in thread in the form of a quote or copy paste (which may bring questions of its authenticity)
-Standard gameroom rules apply
And of course, have fun!

Extra Note:
I will be away from the 6th-9th of December noon to noon my time, which roughly translates to the 2359 5th December --> 2359 8th December [EST Time], 3 days of what should have been gameplay.
