    I have seen such things before. Definately annoying when I have weak fleets in the Med. My ports seem constantly blockaded as well early in the campaign when I need the funds the most!

    I always thought that you received less money by the number of fleets blocking(raiding) you rather than the size of the fleet or am I wrong?

    I always thought that the money didn't change depending on the size of the fleet. I could be wrong though.

    For the player, each ship takes about 5% from the value of the trade route, so after 20 ships there is no further return. It is the number of ships and not fleets that matters.

    I don't know if the AI just receives money for each ship on a trade route but it would appear that they derive something from it...
