So, who's up for this year? Couple of interesting improvements and I'm really curious to see the new database. Update for the 3D engine as well.

    Takers?
    Me for sure.

Hmm, I had thought this year would be the year I finally bow out but some of those changes do look interesting. Might do the sensible thing and wait until the third patch before buying.

    I usually skip a year. I've got 06, 08 and 10. So.... maybe.

Demo was released yesterday on Steam and I've only had a chance to play a little, but my first impressions are very favourable. This is the freshest feeling FM I've played in a while, the real time contract negotiations are a nice addition as are the conversations you can have with players (though the "shut up, I'm the boss, show me some respect" option seems to quieten every player so far), the addition of agents seems to work very well too (you can have good or bad relations with them which affects negotiations) and there seems to be more room for negotiation than with the last few versions. The match engine is much more realistic than before, I've only played a few games but the goals I've scored and conceded seem more "lifelike" than before and there haven't been any of those irrational moments that always seem to occur.

Very few bugs so far, when picking subs it doesn't give you any indication of how many the competition allows, and agent's patience seems to be counter-intuitive. Yes, thats all I've noticed so far, though no doubt if I go to SI's forums there will be lots more have been found.

If anybody was on the fence previously, as I was a few weeks ago, I recommend you at least give the demo a go. I've already booked a week off work starting November 5th.

I enjoyed FM10. I actually finished a season on this version. So I'll probably get FM11 but only after some patching.

Enjoying FM 11 more than I have in years, taken the challenge of trying to rescue Dundee from relegation despite a 25 point penalty. Started the season playing a 3-5-2 with a sweeper and the team was very inconsistent, moved my two wing backs to full backs and my sweeper to a DM (a 442 with a narrow midfield diamond) and suddenly I'm playing like Arsenal (the good side, though I do have their frailty to balls thrown into the box) with a very Thierry Henry-esque young striker. 11 games in and -25 is now -10, only 14 points off safety.

I'm also skip a year between these games, my last one being 2009 and seeing all the changes from 2010 and 2011. I'm quite sure I'm gonna get it.

I'd maybe wait a while Moros, until it's had another patch or two. I'm enjoying it but there are a few annoying little niggles.

I'm getting it from Santa, I always start in the Blue Square South and build up, might do a journeyman game this time though.
