At the end of the day politics is just trash compared to the Gospel.
I want to be able to speak spanish and I've been studying it for a few years. I can understand a fair amount but I'm not able to speak yet.
Dutch and English, my French isn't that good anymore. I can understand and read German, but when I talk German I just end up talking our local dutch dialect. But they understand that most of the time as well, lol. Perhaps some day I'll learn Japanese, Turkish and/or West-Vlaams.
Dutch, English, French. Understand German, but am not able to speak it. Know a few Russian and Italian un-Frontroomish words as well. Studied Latin in the past, but don't remember much of it, except for some legal expressions, to impress people ("nemo est censetur ignorare legem" or "dura lex sed lex" sounds way cooler than "ignorance of the law is no excuse" or "it's the law").

Well your legalese Latin could do with sprucing up: “Nobody is deemed not to know the law” and “[it is] a harsh/though law, but [it is] the law”.
As for me, fluent in English and Dutch. I can read French and German well enough, it's the talking I'm not good at. Still, apparently my French is better than that of most Flemish as one Belgian man kindly informed me at a gas station near Liège.Right there, I thought finally understood Belgium.
