The "short course of pills" can last several months in such lovely cases as epididimitis where the infection has spread to your testicles and unsurprisingly is ever so slightly painful.
Yes, it can over time do that. But with a few exceptions, it won't hurt you, so why worry?And chlamydia is often asymptomatic. In blokes that's fine but in women can over time lead to infertility.
Still maintain that crying on the pitch should warrant a 3 match ban
