Can you explain that a bit? IIRC, around 20% of the population in your average Western nation has genital herpes. It only gets worse as living standards go down...

I go for what I know about my relatively sexually active friends and fellow students. Never heard of anyone catching anything more serious than Chlamydia. Don't get fixated on the numbers, ask around instead....

EDIT: oh, and just for the record, I've never had any STD's either....

What careless attitude? Condoms are 100% effective.

EDIT: but yeah, there's a chance of course, but not one I worry about, as the benefits outnumbers that one extremely limited drawback. Nor should anyone else, really. Just rubber up and off you go, and get yourself checked out after each new encounter....

First off, nothing is 100% effective except abstinence.
Secondly, unless you have very open friends if they did get anything unpleasant that required long term treatment are they going to announce it to everyone?

Unless you've had a GUM clinic appointment recently and haven't slept with anyone since your last one you could but be unaware of it.

But it can happen. My friend has had one sexual partner, she got herpes from him. They used condoms.

She didn't take it well.

My friends are rather open.... But anyway, word gets around. I probably don't know every instance, but I certainly know of quite a few people who have had clamydhia.

I check myself after every new encounter. I'm clean. Peeing in a cup takes 20 min max and it's free, there's absolutely no reason NOT to do it.

Condoms usually don't stop you getting herpes either, since they are on the groin area, and the condom only covers Mr. Peepee.

Only way not to get Herpes is if the sores are regressed. To see this, hope they are clean shaven, so you can easily check.

Doctors always told me that you can get herpes even when there is no flare up.

I love video games, family, self crank and other stuff too much to bother with having multiple partners which will take away from solid game playing, tea drinking, movie watching, travelling, restauranting etc. Women cost soooo much money that it is best to just buy them wholesale, long term and spend money on the things that actually will make you content and not ruin everything you've built.

Sex is what people did years ago when there were no other exciting options. It is dying out statistically as the number one recreation of people, perpetuated by those fossils of the sexual revolution age when it was the best game in town. The ironically conservative option is to have lots of sex, the progressive reality is that you are just doing it to satisfy the ego of our fathers. We know that there are better and less trapping ways to spend out time.

Better than sex:

Sex, followed by room service and a movie. And a nap after that.

That's the life.

well, I can't answer that since I didn't ever have one...
but to see everyone except me doing all of that... what's the point?
