Dedede is not confirmed mafia yet. He has a lack of blue or red text in his kill attempt, and the kill attempt removed a suspect that was unlikely to be lynched. I do not know who this is; but reducing their effectiveness as mafia/proving that they are mafia, is as simple as asking such a vigilante to refrain from killing. If he listens to us, that's probably fewer townie deaths, and is less likely to be mafia. And even if he is mafia, that absolutely means fewer townie deaths.

Samus and Pikachu on the other hand are confirmed mafia and will not respond to such commands.

Dedede also left writeup proof he is not Samus or Pikachu, that's important.

My inactivity scan is going to become less and less useful as the game goes on; but at the same time, it can be used to nail mafia in the act, or force them to commit the WIFOM strategy of not killing at night. I will want to ask certain townies not to perform actions at night, and follow up with scans; if this is a workable plan, I think we should do it. Those cleared of being Samus or Pikachu will be free to continue doing whatever it is they want to do on the following nights.

I recommend using such a strategy on Yaropolk tonight. I have a strong suspicion he is not mafia, for what it is worth.

Pikachu is the most obvious one, being the remaining member of the Phazon team; Beskar was part of the other mafia family and has two remaining allies alive, one of which is Samus.

pever said he thought beskar was guilty but wanted winston killed first...and if winston flipped town we would know to lynch beskar. Perhaps he and beskar really did think winston would flip guilty. Also I have my doubts about the way pever acted about the voting block group.

I quickly pointed out to Reenk that, at that stage, it was against the rules. I was jealous, I wanted it to be like old times. Just me and Reenk.

I don't know if I believe this "Investigator":

1st killer = Samus
2nd killer = Seems to me like Pikachu, but no idea... there's only one episode with a blue eye'd pikachu... well a Mewtwo controlled Pikachu...
3rd killer = Someone with red eyes, and kills with cold
4th killer = Dark Samus

Cloud Strife is neither: Tiny and uses lightning, nor does cloud kill with cold...

Either:

1) Inverstigator is fibbing
2) Investigation result is wrong
3) Corrupted Cloud Strife kills by freezing people and is from Kid Icarus' LP
4) Corrupted Cloud Strike is tiny and kills people with lightning

To me, just doesn't seem to fit any of the 4 killers last night, might just be me.

He's not a newbie to mafia. However, we do do things kinda differently here and have our own "culture" if you will. He was quite bold here to question an investigation result on Tincow, so early in a new game on a new forum.

A bit too bold, if you ask me. I don't have knowledge of his behavioral norms, but just from this game alone, you can see he's worried about dying, at least as much if not more than most others. From where does he get the boldness to question an investigator result on someone he knows not a thing about?

He knows a lot about the game. He is already fluent in reading the writeups, more so than someone who just joined our little club honestly should.

This is a high compliment. Either he has the potential to be one of the greats here, or he's a dirty filthy scumbag who JUST PLAIN KNEW that Tincow didn't kill. Maybe both.

Reread it. Basically, if he's buddies with TinCow, he knows he is corrupted cloud strife. And so when someone posts saying that tincow is corrupted cloud stife, you KNOW as mafia that the investigator is telling the truth.

On the other hand, if your town and paid attention to the writeup and know what a cloud strife kill would look like, you will instantly doubt the claim that cloud was one of the killers. I remember being doubtful of that. And his edit saying he originally posted dark cloud strife and changed to corrupted...

I think this is a false indicator. He might not have known the full name of his mafia buddy offhand. Adding "Dark" to the name however implies that he understands the context and that Cloud Strife is in fact dark and evil. It's his own contribution here, which he promptly edited before anyone had a chance to correct him.

We might very well go with pever; no reason not to pressure Insanious for a while as well. The round isn't just about who we lynch, it's also about who we pressure, and comparing and contrasting candidates.

Ugh out of town and posting on phone. No time to defend myself at length due to nye party. Investigator is lying. Last night I was investigating. As proof, my result was that sasaki is Rundas, GF survivalist. He can confirm this.

Tincow's own post indicates the decided-upon defense for this round.

The Dark Samus team is caught with their main investigator's pants down. They decide, as a group, that the defense used to keep Tincow from dying is to point out there is no way he was killing.

They do this in twofold fashion: Insanious points out he's missing from the writeup, and Tincow reveals a correct investigation result.

This was a bog-standard day one. If anything (barring two townies being dead instead of the more typical one), it was better than usual. There's a heck of a vote trail in the case that classical hero, ATPG, or anyone else ever in danger turns up mafia.

See how Renata interacts with Insanious, and even reacts to Glenn's pressuring of Insanious, and plays the counterpoint to the other two mafiosi.

This is what I assumed at first UNTIL! I read the night post, and it doesn't seem like this holds water. For the reason that kid Iccarus (Pit) KNEW his killer. This to me screams that the killer is from the IDFH side of the universe (I assume its SSBB). Since Pit would not recognize his attacker if he was from the Metroid Universe, I do not think that Rundas was Pit's killer.

This is only assuming that I can read that much into the write up...

I wouldn't have even read that much into the write-up. I don't know of anyone who would have. No one but him did.

Either Insanious is the most gifted and talented write-up analyzer of all time.... OF ALL TIME.... or he knows exactly what the writeups mean, from an insider's point of view.
