Day 12

The eight remaining crew members of the GFS Olympus had started to become a little frantic in their search for the killer. Today, they voted unanimously, though with the exception of the unlucky suspect. Captain Falcon was called in to read the results, though at this point it was but a formality. There would be no surprises or last-minute changes today.

Captain Falcon tallied the votes and read the results with a solemnity usually unseen by him.

“Today, you have found to be guilty: the bounty hunter Kanden. Please step forward and present your defense, Kanden.”

The bounty hunter stepped into the center of the room. At once the rest of the survivor noticed how he towered over everyone else, being nearly eight feet tall.

There was a hint in his demeanor that suggested he was not entirely sane. But he had always been this way; he was, after all, essentially a lab experiment gone wrong. Kanden had been hired because of his insatiable desire to kill and his lack of concern for his own personal safety. In that way, as long as Kanden followed orders it had the same effect as hiring a life-risking hero.

Kanden was silent for a moment or two as he sized up the other survivors in the room. Captain Falcon was about to prompt him, when suddenly he started firing his arm cannon wildly at the crew surrounding him, screaming as he did so.

“You want me to present my defense? THIS IS MY DEFENSE! GAHAHAHAHA! I’ll teach you all to betray me! This is what you get for crossing the mighty Kanden!”

The survivors started taking cover and Falcon sprang into action. Before Kanden could do much damage, the Captain engaged him in personal combat. Kanden blasted his at close range with electrified bullets from his arm cannon, but Falcon managed to shrug off the attacks. He grabbed the abomination by the waist and lifted him over his head, proceeding to throw him with great force against the wall.

There was a crash as Kanden hit the steel wall, but the bounty hunter got right back to his feet. He charged at Captain Falcon, but was struck with a fiery roundhouse kick and hit the wall again. Dazed as he got to his feet, Kanden was unable to react as swiftly this time. Captain Falcon pulled back his fist.

“FALCON…… PAAAAAAAUUNNNCHHH!”

The force of the blow took Kanden’s head clean off. His body sunk to the ground, unmoving. All of the seven remaining survivors stared cautiously at the body for a few moments, but it did not move again. Realizing the night had arrived and the killer was still at large, they all quickly headed out for their strongholds.
