I haven't looked at XL Tyb yet Akhilles fleet-of-foot, but I am more concerned with the Medmod at the moment.

It appears that the Medmod v4 has disappeared off the face of the earth along with wes.apolyton.net!!

What do you prefer in the redux?

    Here you are Akhilles:

    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...rsion-Released!

Tyb 2.0 and patches to 2.2 are there in order.

If you are wanting the combination of XL 3.0 and Tyb 2.x in one file, that was abolished long ago thanks to a little tissy-fit between the authors of Tyb and Redux.

    Download XL 3.0 > Tyb 2.0 > 2.1 > 2.2

Where is the MedMod v4 ?!

Both XL and redux are wonderful mods i just prefered the cosmetic changes in redux and the ai seemed to give me more fits in battle. I knew there was a combined XL and tyberious so thanks for clearing that up

Do you consider the cosmetic changes in Redux superior to those in Tyberius'?
Could you explain more about the fits which the AI gave to you?

Yes especially those made in the campaign area. Its been about a year since ive played redux{waiting on version 3} but the battle ai if you havent tried it will give you everything you can handle. I consider myself a average mtw player and i still recall my first major battle as england. I left the field bloodied with my ego severly bruised.
I have a fresh install on mtw/vi and am kinda waiting on version 3 to play.

Thumbs up Re: A Post, an the Subjecte in Uich will be Discover'd Uich Modificatione be most Sue

First off, it's very heartening to find a discussion like this--and to know that the original, true blue mtw will not go gentle into that good night anytime soon. Kudos!

Second, I love mods. I'm an inveterate mod sampler, and when I've found one I quite like, I can become downright ravenous in my appetites. I have to say that I've dabbled (and, in several cases, more than dabbled) in all of the mods you've listed, Glenn. In my opinion, an AAR using any of these mods would be noteworthy. Each and every one of these mods deserves to be kept alive in the hearts and minds of those who visit these forums. And, no, I don't think I've seen an AAR for either HTW (not for some years, at least), or Pike and Musket (for which, I believe, Cegorach deserves to be awarded a large duchy in a rich and bountiful land), either. That needs to change. If I had some more free time, I'd up and do one myself. For now, though, I'll enjoy following the labours of Glenn, which, I am confident, will lead to some good-old vicarious playing.

Finally, given its sudden and unhappy disappearance, I feel extremely lucky to have gotten MedMod IV when I did! To be honest, I've never understood why Medmod was not mentioned in the same breath as XL (plus Tyberius), and BKB supermod. All of these are fantastic mods, but MedMod stands out in my mind as something rather exceptional. The unit roster (save for graphics), is a thing unparalleled in mtw mods. The game balancing, as well as the map, are also tops! Here's hoping that Wes will reopen his site, with the addition of a graphically revamped Medmod: version V, perhaps! (A guy can dream, can't he!)

On a side-note: I would have liked Redux even more if Axalon weren't so committed to using only a handful of playable factions. I like my mods large and exuberant and, yes, faction-filled! But, to each his own. And Redux stands out as perhaps the only mod where you will find the meanest, most expansive rebels of all. Seriously--those guys are badass!

So, to whatever choice you end up making, Glenn, I will raise my glass. Know that you have at least one person cheering you on!
