Problem in resolution

i have played Rome Total war 3-4 years ago also played barberian invasion with patch 1.6 but that time i had a 17" CRT monitor and didnt have any problem playing..........The problem started when i bought an LCD 22" and now im installing the same and got the screen streached right half out of the screen i can manipulate the resolution as i did to 1440X900 as my current desktop resolution but has no effect......... the screen still only half seen .....i have installed patch 1.3.1.5......barberian invasion and patch 1.6 .still the same problem...but there is no problem in other games.. medival total war 2 is also OK.........also except monitor i didnt change any of my previous configuration
i like to play total war especially th good old rome total war and i desparately need some help

whoa that is a big monitor. I play RTW on my Samsung glow/ RGBY HDTV 44" and it's okay

Sorry but i think you dont get the point
when i changed my monitor the screen streched too much
i can only see the laft half of the screen
the other half os out of the screen it only happens with rome total war partcularly
i cant play with half screeen?
it doesnt matter its 44" or a 22" the problem is how can i see the full screen and play the game again
pls dont pick up any unnecssary point like that which cant help in the problem
