I like to run the gamut from hosting incredibly complicated games to games resembling the old vanilla mafia games of old.

With incredible reliance on reveals upon death and power roles, features which are a development that was not originally included, it's interesting to play a game once in a while without the safety nets those features provide, and give a challenging game to the town.

The only clues in this game really boil down to who the mafia murder, and who Butters revives. It's more information than you'd get from a basic GH-style game, but still very little. It improves town odds over standard, but with 2 murders a night and 3 mafiosi and a "SK" role, town still must lynch mafia before the numbers drop to 7 players remaining or so, which translates to the middle game. An early stroke of good luck is needed.

But yes, when townies don't show up to vote, you can almost guarantee at least one or two mafiosi will show up and make sure they all survive every round. If left to their own devices, mafia will likely vote whichever way keeps them alive, and if town doesn't make a good showing of picking their own lynch, mafia will control the game.

Fortunately for the mafia, less so for the town, the mafiosi were seemingly not suspected until it was too late. If I remember correctly.

Both classical and Death is Yonder exposed themselves in the voting (heh), though I'm sure it helped see it, to know they were mafia. Khazaar was all but a no-show, hard to defend against that in a small game, there's just no time to deliberately lynch inactives.

    Well, just got back.

I must say though, that the combination of general town inactivity and RL circumstances led me to put less effort into blending in, I was kinda surprised I didn't get nabbed earlier.

I felt that if YLC was actively resurrecting, the town probably could have pulled off a victory, especially since after past the mid-late game I was posting rather scum-like and classical was under heat too.

Overall the game was still enjoyable though, and the write ups were interesting to read. I think that were the game played to its fullest, the mechanics would have led to a very exciting and tense game, kudos to you for that ATPG

Thanks for the game, and congrats to my fellow partners

I signed up for this a a sub and I was a bit frustrated to be mafia, to tell the truth, since that is three straight games in a row that I was mafia and in two of them I achieved a flawless victory. :D The other one I got killed, so I can't complain being mafia and not surviving to the end of one.
