Vi svenskar är endast effektiva när vi inte behöver vara det. :)

Uhm visst ja... Engelskspråkigt forum, prata engelska...

I say, this competition is simply fabulous! May the best screenshot win!

Engelska var det!

Why, indeed! You might even argue that the general fabulousness of this noble contest is rather breathtaking!

I gave my vote to my brother Romaioktonos, Arthur.

Voted for Panten.

One question though. How did you get units fighting on the siege tower CV?

Panten gets my vote too - never seen fighting in a seige tower before.

Oh, when the enemy enter it and start climbing, you just sally out through the gate, move them to the tower and either order them up on the wall or to attack the enemy inside. That is if you don't prefer to destroy the tower itself with your mighty swords.

I voted for Jeb's, Recon from Panten was a close second.

Tough choice between Tanit's and Panten's, but ultimately I settled for the fire arrows.

Personally, even though i'm not voting, I do want to know the outcome of the battle which accompanied Panten's shot.

Wow, would have never expected such a positive feedback on that picture - thanks guys :)

For the question about the battle: I made th epicture in an attempt to create a Pontic AAR (which was well on its way until computer desaster took it away from me) Playwise, it was just a rather boring bridge battle in Kappadokia near Mazaka. For the AAR it was much better: I was RP'ing a small Seleucid force as some sort of first wave/scout mission of a punitive expedition after I took Mazaka, Ipsos and Sardis - they didn't send alot, but the quality of the troops was much better than mine and when i routed them I got an "heroic victory". What I liked about it was the winter setting and the lovely mountains in the back that gave the battle so much more weight. In a way the future of my Pontic empire was decided at that bridge too since most of my troops and the treasury were depleted and I didn't have any reserves at that point.

Here are some more pictures from the battle:

Well... If the scout was alone, I don't think the outcome was favourable :)))

Congratulations to Panten for his winning entry "Recon".

I am working on a signature banner for Panten so he can proudly proclaim his success... it may not be very good but I will do my best.

Well done and thank you to everyone who took part!
