I'm not sure. It might. I think the problem was only with Alexander.

In fact you can mod another city mod without touching descr_regions by just modding EDB with a hidden source. I have no idea if it helps against CTDs of city mods or not.

None for the 1.0.x version, there will be for 1.1.x thanks to ExTSO, but that's a long way to go still.

Hi I am currently having problems starting rome total war alexander now after i installed the new extended trivia script. At the loading screen it says "script error eb/data/export_descr_build unknown unit type: legio i germanica" I was wondering if you could help me. as everything was working great with your mod untill i installed ExTSO. I have added the export descr unit to sp edu backup even the building file. I even uninstalled your mod and re installed it and same problem.

ExTSO is not made to be compatible with the current version of the mod pack.

You can, however, install ExTSO someplace else, and replace the files with the mod pack files, then copy those files to your EB install.

    Hey, jirisys!
I'm not sure, but are these mods included into your modpack:
    •Atraphoenix' Roma Surrectum Legions Adaptation.
    •lt1956's Aquilifer unit.
    ???

And what should be the correct line of installing mods? (I suppose that clean RTW, RTW:ALX - latest versions of course, then EB 1.2 with latest fixes, then Maximus ALX mod? and then your mod pack?)

Yes they are, but on the alexander version of the mod pack.

If you install the Alexander version of the Mod Pack, you don't need to install the Maximus Mod for Alexander. Unless you mean EAEM, which is incompatible.

    Glad to see you're back.

Heh, I've intended to install ONLY ALX version, as for me it seemed to be the best engine for EB (and especially with all these sub-mods).
But... what is the "EAEM" (I suppose it's some sort of version of ALX-based mod, but... not very sure 'bout it )

    Glad to see you're back.
I'm glad too... for the past few years I had lots of RL activities as well as playing the SW:EAW&FOC with all nice mods, so the R:TW and EB had to wait for next chance.
Yet as the R2:TW appeared to be rather a disaster... then I've decided to go back to EB and play it again (and I'm also gonna to play Roma Surrectum II, as it seems to be also quite nice mod).

Judging from all these years it seems that good old R:TW (with ALX engine) is the best one and with mods basedupon it (like EB with all these submods) is the best Roman-era strategic game available for play.

    Hello Jirysis,

I play EB since the beginning (beta 0.81 i think), and now i decided to buy the alex addon. But i have problems with installing your mod. My english is not that bad that i can't understand your installation instruction in the readme file. What am i doing wrong?

    1. I made a clean copy of romeTW with barb. exp in C:\Games\RomeTW (direction of all the .exe files)
    2. I installed AlexTW over it.
    3. EB 1.1 & 1.2 in the same direction and then your mod. Everything is installed correct so far i think. The requested fixes like "on-border stratmap" fix i kept for later. I think it's ok.

My Problem starts with the shortcut. In readme you write:

-AFTER you install this mod, DO NOT open EB through ANY shortcut. YOU MUST EDIT IT'S PATH AND STARTUP TO YOUR OWN ONE (***or just create one from your rometw-alex.exe and add the modifiers to that one***). You must copy the shortcut from your ...\Rome - Total War (Named: Europa Barbarorum (Jirisys' Mega Mod Pack) to your preferred place. And THEN run it with THAT SHORTCUT.
I already tried to edit the rometw-ALX.exe shortcut on my desktop with " -mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander" behind it, but it does not work.

What modifiers do i have to add exactly? What does a correct shortcut look like, when i install the game in C:\Games\RomeTW, like mentioned above?

Do i have to make a freah install of everything after i failed, or is it enough to reinstall your mod pack?

Edit: Ok works now. It was a problem with a graphics driver update. Still the mod is very buggy. Often CTDs after battle, what is very annoying.
