    Default RIP Maj Winters

Maj Winters Passes away Jan 2

Major Dick Winters passed away Jan. 2 in central Pennsylvania following a battle with Parkinson's Disease. If you've read Stephen Ambrose's book or watched the HBO miniseries, you'll likely already have mental pictures of Winters' acts of heroism during harsh fighting in Europe during the Second World War.
Tho' I've belted you an' flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

News gotten thousands of reactions on Dutch news-sites he's regarded as the best of men and we are really grateful. Glad he squeezed out a fine age.

edit, pointless but fun, the weasel took dualing pistols that have belonged to Napoleon from the Eagle's Nest, I know that because my father was interested in buying them. I supposedly met him but got no recollection of that

    RIP.

His dishonest account of the Brecourt Manor assault is unforgivable in my opinion and calls into question a lot of the other exploits he claimed.

He was undoubtedly a strong leader and a brave soldier, though.
