Funny I think Germany has the highest Alcohol intake there is and you see very little drunkenness.

Think we have almost no tariff on the stuff either. Nothing like UK or Ireland for sure. The shops here are less than duty free there.
We have a spirits shop in Munich called Tara that specializes in Irish and Scotch Whiskey and there are always people in the shop from the isles.

Anyway different spirits effect me differently. So it depends on what I am drinking. But I am not fond of being drunk.

Which just shows how much we really like drink even with a huge amount of duty

For a minute I though you were talking about stuff like 7up and sprite as in soft drinks but it's supposed to be Spirits right

    Does it change your mood?
Do you become a different person when you are drunk?
I stop drinking before I'm drunk: the cue is when I start feeling a bit unsteady. So I don't really have the vomiting or can't-remember-doing-that experiences. But while I still drink I don't really notice much of a change in my mood or personality.

I get happier and more social.

....which is the reason we drink, isn't it?

Oh, and since most of you are in the "I just have a nip"-crowd, is this where I tell you that I never stop until I get absolutely shitfaced/run out of stuff to drink? I either drink until I'm pissed, if I don't want to get issed I simply don't drink at all. Its all or nothing for me, being tipsy is a sign of alcoholism in my book.

If you have no problems checking your cell on a sunday morning, you're doin' it wrong.

I don't get really violent, sad or whatever. I do speak before I think often, so I can become a bit rude or say things I shouldn't have. Most people except for my girlfriend find it more amusing then offensive. Oh when I'm drunk I also have to constantly remind myself that I have a gf. I don't do anything wrong, but I'm constantly tempted though. But I just repeat in my head that I've got one already and that appears to work.
