I also suggested a change in moderating style and end to hyper moderating of every aspect of a patron's participation (nannying). As ever the administration ignored this. Now somewhat conversely, we see a massive staff recruitment drive - so instead of easing off on moderation, the members here now have even more mods on their cases. All this on a forum that is struggling to get decent levels of participation - just who are these people going to be moderating exactly? Simply throwing more staff at this won't solve the problems here at the .org - looking at why so many staff and members have left recently might be a better use of time...
we should go the the stock market. that will really help ease things. i heard .org is noted higher than Facebook so we really got to do this man!!!

Yeah, if the Org ever goes, I'm probably gone as well. I doubt at this period I would care to join another forum, because even if there was interest there, it would die soon. The people are what draws me back here as is. I can play TW myself at this point, I don't see the need to talk more about it.
If you wanna find me, I lurk a bit around the 4chan sports board during NHL playoff time for funny/highlight gifs. Probably not the best place though, given the gore, porn (not even classy porn), and racism/homophobia/all other kinds of offensiveness.

The .org will always be my home on the interwebz.
Don't get the fuss about moderation... I get some warning points but so what, it doesn't affect my daily business on the site. Getting a warning doesn't even do anything.

Depends on the Moderator for me. If they are 'nameless mod', admittedly, I am not fussed, but if it is a moderator I like, I feel ashamed for letting them down.
Silly, yes, but it keeps me in check!

Don't let the org die guys, otherwise peverreenk will die.
And you don't want that.
Hooahguy 01:29 01-25-2011
I cant really imagine the .org ever really truly dying, though if it gets any worse then I will have no choice but to jump ship as well.
I mean, as of now I only have this place tabbed because Ive been here for almost four years.

Whenever I come here, it feels like I'm wandering down the halls of my old high school or something. I feel as if I don't belong here anymore. I can look at this place all I want, but the experiences will never happen again. The life is gone.
Maybe I just need a new girlfriend to spice up my life or something. I don't know.
To give me girl advice, why else?

Interesting choice of forums.

Megas, if it helps, most of the people I really knew and loved/hated left before you even joined.
Groups of people change, people come and people go. The Org is no different; its attitude will inevitably change somewhat over time. It's not dying, it just looks different as time goes on.
I might also add that people change as well. I've gone from awkward kid, to laid-back stoner, to unpleasant drunk (mostly on the chat, where people actually wondered if I was the same person as Rev. Gonzo) (by the way, where IS the chat? I don't see a tab for it anymore) to more relaxed drunk. At the moment, I'm more acclimated to the somewhat rougher territory of the PWoT fora; they really put the calmness of these fora in perspective.
Point is, things change, people change... nothing can be dome about it, just keep on chooglin' and try to find the best place to fit in.

chat is still there, just under the board menu that flops down.
Also: are we to die? Maybe. Are we to live? Maybe. Will old people leave and new people come? Well....everyone else seems to think so, so I will support it.

Ok, I'm busted. Where have I been? Why, here of course, kept rather busy lately. This camel dung broom has been useful. Weird that it has a big detachable hammer attached to its opposite end. Wonder what it's for? I thought Ban was a roll-on; didn't know they made hardware too.

I didn't say you could stop sweeping.
With both of my lords absent, for now
I am the Camel Emperor.

What are camels?
Something I dearly miss.

I think it was Mithrandir...or someone with a name devoid of typos
Or maybe someone else entirely. It has been a while. Martok?
Togakure 02:54 02-01-2011
Mithrandir, Martok and Caravel have long been hailed as the Camel Lords. I think Mithrandir was the original, famous for his clever use of camels in MTW.

Maybe so. An honorary position, perhaps, for a lover of camels?
thats good enough for me.

And what are your opinions of the most holy camel? There may yet be a place for one who sees the truth.
I believe the Camel is a noble creature, capable of driving those unworthy from itself with bodily excrements and emissions. For those who learn to live and work with the Noble Camel, however, are priveleged to share their power in battle against their enemies', most notably enemy horses, who turn away at the very sight of the holy Camel.
