Re: The Blue and the Grey - an American Civil War IH
Some stupid questions:
1) Can we chose the starting point/ theatre? For example Western Territories?
2) For what period of time do we make our orders, days, weeks, months years?
3) Are there other armies than the ones played by the players?

1. Yes, so long as it is in your namesake state-region(for example, no armies of the western department in virginia :P)
2. Turns, which take 6 months each.
3. Only if there is a seige. Cities tend to have Militias. :P

TURN 1:
The game began as, in Virginia, both sides took a defensive stance; The Union at the border of Virginia, the Confederacy at the Bull Run River. The only action done was that of the Confederate Cavalry, who attacked the occupied towns of Leesburg and Alexandria; the two towns were taken by Union troops attempting to establish a foothold in Virginia.
Battle of Leesburg:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
BATTLE OF LEESBURG
Confederacy: 2,000 Cavalry
Union: 4,000 Infantry
Result: Confederate Strategic Victory, Union Tactical Victory
Confederate Cavalry withdraws down road, prepares defenses
After the Battle of Alexandria, the Confederate Cavalry withdrew down the road, falsely thinking that this was a Federal Invasion of Virginia. However they soon realized that the Federals were not coming, and so they rejoined the Defensive Line at the Bull Run River.
Meanwhile, in the West, Confederate troops have redeployed. A large force has shifted across Missouri, to St. Louis; this may be a plan for a future invasion...
Also, in Ohio, the Army of Tennessee has begun it's attack; It besieges Cincinatti.
Battle of Cincinatti:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
BATTLE OF CINCINATTI
CSA: 3 Infantry Corps, 1 Cavalry Corps
USA: 3 Infantry Corps
Skirmish at Alexandria:
CSA: 1 Infantry Corps
USA: 1 Infantry Corps
And with that, Turn 1 is concluded. I will send out orders for turn 2 some time this week, in the meantime I shall edit the troop numbers for each army.
