Ok i just took Athens in my Epirote Game and one of my FM's got the Aristarchos of Samos ancillary so my question is does it give any benefits to my FM? and what are the chances of getting more unique ancillaries?
Thanks and Cheers!

Well i think the benefits should be visible once you move your mouse over him, right? I dunno what are the chances, but given that you control certain areas, you can get certain men...
I know i had Catullus amongs other IIRC... And some other fine romans as well

There are no visible benefits like +1 Influence or + 100% cost to bribe only the description that Aristarchos of Samos is a Mathematician and Astronomer. So will he make my FM good in math is what i'm curious about.

I don't know, but I can't see any effects for him in my text files either so it seems to be WAD.
1x From Fluvius Camillus for making him laugh.
So its a useless ancillary?

I think, one of my FMs used to get such an ancillary. And. iirc, that guy became quite a good administrator within a short time. I can imagine this ancillaries work the same way as the "tutor" for the FMs coming of age and are responsible for acquiration of certain traits, which ever those exact are - i guess the answer is in EDCT and EDA.
- 10 mov. points :P
