Default EB Campaign Music / Mongolian music into campaign map

    Hi all

Recently i came across with this mongolian style of singing called: ''Overtone singing'' that i liked a lot, i think it would give an awesome feeling and atmosphere to the campaign map while playing nomad factions like Sauromatae and Saka Rauka.

I have no clue on how to bring a Mongolian song into the campaign map of a certain faction however, so i'm asking to you guys on how to.

PS: just out of curiosity, here's Enkh Jergal playing a music which i think its called ''Two Homes''

So, Enigma "Eyes of Truth" is originally mongolian music? :)
OT: AFAIK, the campaign music is culture, not faction related.

Hm alright, so the music is bound to culture, well i can live with that
as a first step, where is the music in the EB folder? and what type of file it is? mp3 or...?

and what you meant about this ''eyes of truth''? would that be the name of the music posted?

C:\Program files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\EB\Data\Sounds\music - thats where you should find those files.

Enigma is a "Band" - just search for the song, compare and make your own judgment ;)

But how the music is attached to a certain culture? i thought i would find like 'music/culture/nomad' and then you would just drop the file in there in order to hear on the campaign, but it seems doesn't work this way, any clue?

ps; bout the enigma band, i took a look on that song and the melody does indeed sounds like that song on my first post

Throat singing was common in Central asia. particularly, uzbekistan and kazakhstan.

and it was different with khoomii (mongolian throat singing).

Put the mp3 file (s) in the folder of:

    .......\Rome - Total War\EB\Data\Sounds\music

    Open this file:

    ........\Rome - Total War\EB\Data\descr_sounds_music.txt

type the file (s) name under CAMPMAP entry of the specific culture.

If you like throat singing (khoomei) you should look up Huun Huur Tu and Yat-kha. I love to listen to them (especially Huun HUur Tu) in wintertime.

Is Mongolian music related to Sarmatians? True both are from the steppes, but I think they come from different cultures (INdo-European, Turko-Mongol).

Well... The Schythians and the Saka are in the greater perspective the same, Saka is the persian word for "Nomad" or "those who travel" dont recall... but, the Mongolians and the Yuetze-Saka-Schytho-Sarmatians probably have common ancestors, i have reason to believe that the Sarmatians have more in common with the Slavs and the Black Sea Schythians, than the Saka and the Yuetze who were pobably more Mongolians...

please say if it makes no sense... my english is not the best

Well, there are certainly artifacts that currently are mapping out the rarther inprecise migration patterns: they show that both in clothing and yewlery the sarmatians had much in common with the westerneers.. :)

and the fact that the Yuetze and the Saka arrived much later by Baktria and the Indus than the Sarmatians in the black Sea
