The Senate - Civil WarCurrently interested people(9):
This is the sequel to my game - "The Senate"
Those who played my Thirty Years War game might find some parts familiar.
For example, the game uses the same orders system. Each player will have 6 order slots that they can use.
Each turn will last 2 days during which players from one faction should work out their plans/strategies for that turn. One turn equals to 3 months.
The game have only two factions: Republicans and the Dictator with his followers.
There are however some roles with special victory conditions.
-The factions-
Republicans
Seeing the rise of a powerful general many senators tried to stay true to the old republican ways.
Once in 2 turns they elect the Consul who will lead the Republican faction.

Dictator
A powerful general, seeing a chance for power, used it and became the Dictator.
At the start of the game one player will be randomly chosen to become the leader of this faction.

* These are included in case player becomes inactive.
-Movement-
The game has a risk style province-to-province movement. Each army can move 1 province per order(with one exception). Fleets can move 2 sea regions per order.
-Manpower-
Each province have a manpower limit. This shows how many units players can recruit in that province. However, it also shows the number of men who can be taxed. So, It's up to the players whether they recruit units but receive less tax and supplies or they don't recruit and receive more taxes and supplies.
There are 2 different MP sections: Citizens and Locals.
Citizens: 1) Possible to recruit legionaries; 2) More taxes; 3) Less supplies.
Locals: 1) Possible to recruit auxiliaries; 2) Less taxes; 3) More supplies.
-Recruitment-
There are 2 different types of units: legionaries and auxiliaries.
Legionary units are Legionaries, Heavy Cavalry and First Cohort.
Auxiliary units are Archers, Spearmen, Light Infantry and Light Cavalry.
The only siege equipment(catapults) can be recruited only during sieges and it will be disbanded after the siege.
Since all players from the same faction share the same treasury then you have to decide who recruits and who doesn't. Otherwise you might find your faction bankrupt.
-Reputation-
Reputation shows how well your factions are seen by the people. Both faction start with equal reputation level. Your actions will determine whether it is lowered or raised.
-Supplies&Taxes-
Each unit need supplies and taxes(gold) are needed to recruit units. How large is the manpower in a province will determine how much supplies/taxes you get. Supplies&Taxes can only be collected by the governors or leaders of the factions. It takes an order to collect them(1 for supplies and another for taxes).
-Miscellaneous-
*Remember that losing units and manpower through looting/sieges will affect you in a lung run. It's not possible to replenish manpower during the game.
*All players who choose to lead an army must choose a unit as his bodyguard unit. If it is destroyed then that player is dead. If the player is governor and enemy captures his city then he will die.
*It's possible to switch a faction. This can be done only once. It's not possible to switch side if one faction controls 2/3 of public support(reputation is 65 or above).
*There are other things that will be revealed during the game.
*Ask if something is unclear. Whether in this thread or in private. The worst thing is if the game starts and players have no idea how it works.
-Turns&Battles-
The turn is divided into two parts: campaign and battle. Both last 2 days.
During the campaign part you should decide your next moves. Discuss this with others in your faction(especially with the leader) and then PM me your orders.
If there happens to be any battles I'll announce them and send the situation reports to the participants who should send me their plans for the battle.
-Map-
This is the map with all the provinces:

-Military&Navy-
At the start of the game there are 6 legions and 2 fleets. All of them can be picked by the players. If any of them is not chosen then they become Neutral. It's possible to make them join your faction using bribe(easy way) or influence(a bit more difficult).
-Battles-
Battles are fought on a map of 20*20 squares large. During the Deployment phase players can position their units in deployment area(5*20 squares large). In theory, you can have maximum of 50000 soldiers on field(500 men are in a Legionary Cohort)! However, I doubt that you have more than 10000 men in your armies. Units positioned you should give me the plan for the battle. I will try to follow it as best as I can.
