Angel Season 1 Episode 2: Playing the Odds

A side-street. A kid, Sasaki Kojiro walks down it, looking to the left and to the right.

Sasaki Kojiro: Can we go home now? Mom? Dad? Where did you go? Spots a figure standing in the shadows just off of a street light.
Sir, can you help me? I seem to have lost my parents.

Figure: You seem to be very distraught. Let me put you out of your misery

The figure pulls out a crossbow and fires a bolt through his head. Sasaki gasps and falls to his knees. Reloading, the figure loads again and fires a shot right into Sasaki's heart.

Cut to opening credits and theme.

Thefluffyone walks down the street reading street signs.

Thefluffyone: Where is that shop? First Buffy drags me all the way up here and then sends me out grocery shopping? Angel's a P.I. now, shouldn't he have people to do this for him. One's that actually know the city. Ah, there it is, San Pedro street. Now I just have to find 576

He turns down onto a smalller street. After walking a short ways, a figure steps out from in front of him and "vamps out". He turns to run, and another vamp is behind him

Vamp2: We're here to send a message to the Slayer.

Thefluffyone: What's that? I'd be delighted to take it to her.

Vamp1 (from behind Thefluffyone) Thank you for the offer. This is our world now, and not her, nor that souled freak Angelus is going to stop us. Yes, I think you will deliver the message. But let's add a little extra zest. Bites into fluffy. Fluffy screams and elbows the vamp. The vamp stumbles back and fluffy pulls a stake.

Thefluffyone: Stay back! I've got a stake and I'm not afraid to use it. Really!!

Second vamp jumps him and starts feeding. Fluffy begins to sag, but uses his last strength to sheath the stake. Into his own heart.

Yaropolk saunters down the street, whistling to himself and spots a woman by the side of the road, holding her ankle.

Yaropolk: Can I help you, ma'am?

Woman: Why yes, thank you. I seem to have bruised my ankle. If you could just help me up ...

Yaropoalk extends a hand. The woman takes it and he helps her up.

Yaropolk: Anything else, ma'am.

Woman: Why yes, actually. WORSHIP ME!!!!

Yaropolk: Ma'am, I don't think I'm willing to do that.

Woman: Then you shall die!!!

Two figures drop down behind Yaropolk. One does an elegant flip, the other simply lands cooly and calmly as always. It's Buffy and Angel. Another drops behind the Woman, equally elegantly. It's Faith.

Angel: Not tonight he won't.

Angel throws a punch at the woman. She takes it and responds with a back-hand. Angel goes flying. Woman starts running towards Yaropolk, but Buffy intercedes and starts throwing kicks at the woman. The woman parries smoothly and responds with a few blows of her own, sending Buffy sprawling. Faith pulls a knife and runs at the woman, but the woman here's her coming, turns, and charges right through her, bowling her over. But by now, Angel is back up and ready to fight. The woman gages her odds of getting through to Yaropolk, turns, and runs. Faith pursues, while Buffy and Angel help Yaropolk to his feet. but she swiftly out-paces Faith, who takes off once more into the night.

Angel: Who was she?

Buffy: I don't know, but she sure was strong. If there's more like her to come, I don't like our odds.

Angel: Let's find Xander and get you guys back on the road. You shouldn't leave the hellmouth unattended at a time like this.

Night Results are out. Day ends in 23.5 hours

That's just the thing; it's not uncharacteristic at all. Usually (or at least often) he also has other things going on; I'll give you that much. But OMGUS votes are like Pizzaguy's favorite thing to do. He loves nailing scum to the wall who dare vote for him. Show me your evidence that this is uncharacteristic.

What's going on with Zack, Diamondeye? "Rolefishing for Buffy" doesn't say much.
