It's an interesting point.

Given the nature of the game and the fact that there's plenty of evil-aligned characters that wouldn't want an apocalypse to go through, it's entirely possible that there's bad guys who are actually town for the purpose of this game... some of them may well hold their grudge against the Buffster despite supposedly "rallying together".

Buffy is seated at a table in the UC-Sunnydale library with Willow. It is otherwise vacant.
Buffy: I'm sorry about what happened to Xander. We'll make those vamps pay. I swear it.
Willow manages a weak smile.
Willow: He died fighting the good fight, that's what matters. And if things keep up like this, it sounds like vamps are going to be the least of our problems. That woman you fought up in L.A. Can you tell me anything more about her.
Buffy:Well, she was strong. I said that, right? And fast. And hard. Very, very hard. It was like punching granite. What could she be? And how can we stop something like that?
Willow: Well, based on what you've said and a little research, it sounds like something of godly or near-godly power, a sort of Hell-goddess, perhaps. An Old One would seem possible, though they're not usually humanoid ... One of those things that talks to Doyle, those ... Powers that be, was it? Although I don't know why they would. I'll keep hitting the books.
BuffY: Thanks Willow.

A young woman walks onto UC Sunnydale's campus. dcmort93 stops and examines her map. Finally she folds it up, takes a deep breath, and walks into a nearby building. A man is asleep at the desk.
dcmort: Excuse me, Is this UC Sunnydale's admissions office?
The man wakes up, startled.

Man: Why, yes. At least, it was. Most people fled due to recent events. Can I help you?

dcmort: Well, I was hoping to enroll. You see, I never got my bachelor's degree.

Man: Have you filled out an application?

dcmort No, what's that?

Man: Look, miss. I don't have time for your jokes. Here's another copy of our application. If you haven't filled out your application, go home, fill it out and mail it in. In fact, forget about the application, leave now. Forget about the application. Before it's too late.

Doors slam shut on the office.

Man: Oh no, old Mrs. Creary's back.

Man jumps out window and takes off running. dcmort makes to follow, but the bookcase intercedes. A ghostly old woman appears.

Old Mrs. Creary: Make fun of this institution will you. Now you will pay.

Drawers slide open, scissors come flying out and impale dcmort.

There's no real way of knowing, unfortunately; she's majorly bad mojo in both series but in this game she could have been an 'innocent' trying to avoid the apocalypse.

Well the thing is so many roles throughout the Buffy/Angel series flip flop on their alliances more than a politician before an election, thereby making it hard to determine what their alignment is, and that doesn't take into account artistic license by the Host.

We do know that we're looking for a big, bad, goddess-thing.

Darla was not that. She could have, maybe, been one of the vampires that attacked last night, but I find that doubtful. I do believe she could have been recruitment material for a vampire team, if she wasn't on one already, but that's based on very little knowledge of the game setup. It's ultimately moot right now. I am going to assume it was a bad lynch, but not a terrible lynch.

No.

And by that, I mean, of course not. He approached me because I have a personal goal which would match being Buffy. Of course I clammed up, he was fishing for the most prominent pro-town role in the game! Even a "no" would be too much info.

That said, ATPG is right (and alive, yaaay!) in that Zack is not out killing as long as he is using this ability. We'll find out tonight whether his ability is actually worth anything when it comes to catching scum.

Angel Season 1 Episode 3: Consultations

Pevergreen is walking down the street. He keeps looking around, as though he thought someone was watching him. He runs to a figure in the street, gives a yelp and runs back to where he was staying. The camera stays on the figure, who walks over to the sewers, lifts up a hatch and drops down. We follow him through the sewers to arrive at a sealed door. He knocks, and it opens to reveal classical_hero. Cue opening credits.

Classical_hero: Welcome. Please, come in. I'm sorry I didn't know you were coming or I'd have cleaned up better. Can I get you anything? Tea, Crackers, Cow's blood?

Figure: No thank you. I really don't have much time.

Classical_hero: I understand. With the Apocalypse coming, none of us do. Judging by the crossbow, you're here to kill me. Is there anything else I can do for you before you do that?

Figure: Well, I was sort of expecting to have to fight you.

Classical_hero Well, if you want to fight, we can, but I know you're in a hurry, so I'll understand if you want to skip straight to the killing.

The figure loads the crossbow and fires it into classical_hero's chest. He hurriedly reloads and exclaims "Allow me to explain my Bolt! and fires another shot into classical_hero's head. He attempts a victorious laugh, but it comes out more as a nervous chuckle. Turning, the figure runs out the door.

Elsewhere, in the sewers, Angel has arrived at a different door. With some trepidation, he opens it.

Angel: What's coming? How do I get the sun back?

The Oracles: Silence, Champion. What gift have you brought us? The future is clouded, a nexus approaches that we cannot see beyond. At least not without a gift. Well?

Angel Darn it, I knew I forgot something!
