Because he was the last voter of the day yesterday, and sometimes scum hold their votes a long time so they can see what way the wind's blowing. On reading day one I could see nothing truly worth voting for -- classical hero putting the third and lynching vote on Diamondeye looked somewhat promising until he was emphatic on making sure you didn't forget it -- so I went for the meta in lieu of throwing darts a second time.

Also, please try to assure me that "Marge is my hero" is not another casual comment like "Miko's been a bad girl". I'm afraid that I'll be hard to convince, but you can try.
On the contrary, it's exactly the same kind of casual comment.
