Ok, here is an update. I am a bit pissed off so don't give me infractions everywhere if I use PG-13 words.

Anthony isn't interested in Claire apparently. I am going to give you guys a small bit of info on my life (this is the only thing I will ever tell you guys about my personal life). I have a sister that is a year younger than me. Anthony wanted to come down and hang out with my family during thanksgiving and winter break, and he is pretty chill so he did. Apparently...he and my sister talked during Thanksgiving and started to get interested in each other. They have been pretty much together for a while, it just wasn't official so to speak. And he came to me today to tell me about this. I got pissed and told him to **** off. I should have seen it coming, after Thanksgiving my sister (who is planning on having the same major as I am) really wanted to go my uni, (she claimed it was because they have a great natural sciences division, which my uni does).

So now, I guess I have a free shot at asking Claire, but right now I am way to **** mad to do anything right now.

Seriously you guys, I want to punch Anthony in the face, what he did was super douchy in my opinion. Am I overreacting?

Is there something wrong with him dating your sister? I mean, I guess you being his friend know how he talks and acts, but TBH I think you should give your sis some credit. I wouldn't think its a big deal, but if you do I wouldn't blame you for it. I guess everyone kinda handles it differently right?

Anyway...I think it's best if I keep my mouth shut about the girl part, but does she know you like her? Ask her out for some place? In my experience, girls will sometimes find not-being-good-at-things very cute and funny, if you know how to play it right.

Well. I don't think it was "douchy" that he likes your sister, not telling you earlier was probably "douchy". Of what you have said about him he sounds like a decent guy, so isn't that better than some stranger who you don't know anything about going out with your sister?

Agreed. Speaking as a guy who has gone after a friend's younger sister, before I even commenced talking to her, I asked him if it was ok if I did, then when it started leading somewhere, I asked if he was ok with it.

He should have told you earlier, but he told you now. You must forgive him, otherwise you are not his mate.

However, if he does something to emotionally or physically hurt your sister, then hes dead.

Final update: Good News Everyone!

I sacked up and asked her out and she said yes! Which is good because I was uncertain about whether or not she was into gingers. So far it has been really awesome.

Also, I have decided that it's ok for my best friend to be dating my little sister, because I know that he is an alright guy and wouldn't ever harm her in any way. She seems really happy as well.
