Thread: Council of Nobles

Will the Council of Nobles missions be used in EBII? I do not believe they require a faction slot, and they could be pretty historically accurate and give more depth to the game. For instance, you could have missions from the Senate as Romans, and Earls as Sweboz, and such and such.

The Boulè for KH perhaps? The Synderion for Makedonia?

Can council of nobles missions be given to the AI factions? In that case you might be able to use them to make the AI expand in a more historically correct way.

Yeah, seriously it's a good idea. I don't know if the AI can be influenced by the council's missions. The EBTeam has a plan to do that?

I believe I've read something like this a while ago, but not sure, it might have been a suggestion.

Now that is EB and not EB2, right?

Yes. Why?

Because one shall find many things found in EB have not passed the test and thus will not be found in EB2. But this in no way should be taken for anything more than the statement of such.

It would be great; you know, no more Carthage conquering Egypt, Romans blitzing north, AS to arabia, etc...

I don't know anything about scripting in TW, but I really doubt that the AI receives "Council of Nobles" missions like the player does. Having said that, I recall reading a EB2 team member post a good while ago mentioning that players could and would receive missions.

It is possible though, after all in vanilla M2TW Poland always seemed to go after Madgedburg right off the get go even though they were not adjacent to it.

If the Council of Nobles missions work anything like the Senate missions from Vanilla RTW, then they will most certainly influence AI expansion. For instance, when I played as Spain (that campaign was tough as hell) the Julii would constantly ferry fullstack armies to attack my homeland without even sharing a border with me. There's just no way the AI would do that unless it was fulfilling a Senate mission.

The real would be getting the CoN to assign realistic targets on a limited basis.
