Lists have all kinds of purpose. Some are made to remember stuff, other lists are made so you don't
forget the order in which to do things. There is also a special kind of list though, and this
is the kind of list I'm talking about; it's made so you forget the things you have written on it.
Every week my girl and I, would sit down and write down things we would wish to forget on a piece of
paper and then we put it in an envelope. All the things written down were now banned from thought
and we would soon forget about them. Atleast that was the plan. We put the envelope in a metal safebox with a opening on top, which was originally intended to safeguard banknotes. We had thrown away the key so we could not open the box again whenever we wanted to. This way, we believed, we didn't have to tell each other everything without keeping secrets from one another. By god, we were naive!
