I've started a girl thread myself about three years ago, maybe four.
It's mainly a sign that people feel comfortable enough around their .org friends that they dare open up a bit and talk about more important problems than "what figures shall I pee into the snow/sand today?".
More a sign of being in a great community than everybody swearing and cussing around trying to look as evil as they can, wouldn't you say?
The only problem is when people mock the OPs for starting such threads which leads to them hesitating to post more because now they're "that silly guy who has problems with girls", and then everybody complains about a lack of threads.
Just ignore the girl threads if you don't like them and keep posting what you want the Frontroom to be about, if you post enough (without spamming!) the girl threads may just naturally disappear to page 2 soon enough.
