Default OK, Assage must be guilty as Sin

Take a look at this rot!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12379018

Denied a fair trial in Swedean? That's almost as absurd as saying the Swiss make dodgy clockwork. He must be guilty if he's trying this hard to fight extradition.

He's also unlikely to face the death penalty in the US, the US isn't that stupid.

The more I hear about this Wikileaks lot the more they seam like tin foil hat waering crazies in suits.

I am no fan of this guy but as the case was denied by at least two judges before they found one that would hear the charges you just have to wonder if it is a set up.

Not only that but there is just too much effort going into all of this.

Is he a dirt bag? Very likely. Is this all due to political dealings and underhanded methods? Very likely.

    Take your pick.

Well, if he's a rapist he deserves gaol.

    OR

If he's a rapist being prosecuted a high profile target for political reasons, he still deserves gaol.

The argument that if he went back to Sweden and was aquitted he would still face stigma is the most absurd, because he faces bigger stigma by refusing to answer the charges.

Don’t you know the story behind the rape charge???

When it occurred it was with consent!! Even she admits that!

The woman had also written a book about burning men with rape charges after the fact in just this manner.

If you want exes the world over to have this same right go a head but spare me the outrage!

It is a foul deed anyway you look at it.

that would be a matter for Sweden's rape laws which i understand are significantly different than our own.

Indeed they are. Still, she had to shop for the right judge before she could bring a case...

If an accused does not defend himself, he will be found guilty.

But if he does defend himself, this is a sign he must be guilty.

Can't win like that. Might as well return to a good old trial by ordeal. Throw the accused in the river. If he drowns, this is a sign he is innocent. If he stays afloat, Satan is helping him so he must be hung for being guilty.

Defending himself requires he stop resisting deportation and face trial.

Oh, and no one ever drowned by ordeal accept by accident, they had ropes to pull you out.

    Nah. Why?

If I'm innocent, I'm not interested in being flown to Sweden to go through an elaborate trial. I just want to get on with my life. Let them get excited and see if they have any legal grounds or means to put me on trail, not my problem.

This is why conspiracy theories are nonsense. People are so gullible that they believe something if the media proposes it as their view often and convincingly enough - so why should the governments of the world conspire when they know that the populace will simply forget what happened a month ago and be told what happened today.

Alot of these folks jumping on the bandwagon with Assange because 'they said' are the same sort who will get behind a conspiracy theory which comes out of the bag later on when it doesn't matter anymore. And then their view will be biased to the other extreme.

    Phtooie!
