Talking Strange and humourus things in RTW

I couldn't see anythread to post all the weird stuff I come across, so I figured; Why not make one?

It started with when I attacked Egypt and the turn after the Pharao in his wisdom sent a diplomat my way who insisted that I became a protectorate to Egypt. Quoting the diplomate I recall him saying something like this:

"The Great Pharao something, may health be upon him states that "All Your Base Are Belongs To Us!"."

Which kind of made me raise an eyebrow. Unfortunately I don't have a screencap :/

Later on I came across anotehr twisted Egyptian...or was it Roman?

This rebel warlord...who turned out to be an egyptian heavy chariot captain no less and not a true roman general at all...ehh...not even a general...
He has a healthy scepticism of foreigners at least, so I do wonder how he feels when he looks in the mirror...

    He...yeah regarding men....

I would have thought that the Amazon army would contain a few more women...but that's just me...the greatest scam in history? The realm of the transvestites? Unfortunatly I lost the screencap of their general...who hand't even bothered with a skirt.

All your base are belong to us is a very very old internet meme (joke). Read more about it here. Consider it an easter egg of sorts.

Where did you find the amazons? Which province?

Yeah I knew about that "All your base are belongs to us!", I just didn't epect to see it in game. :P

The Amazons...well if you look at the second screenshot I posted you can see the red selection on the minimap that shows what parts the camera is showing. It's north of the Scythian lands, behind the forest, it takes forever to get there, because of the forest, river and not the least the damn swamp...
They all fight as Chariot archers, two archers on each chariot and a driver...stragely they still have just two hitpoints, but I think they might still be the best Chariot Archers in the game, not counting the Egyptian generals. I got them at a siege, but they usually camp outide with most of their troops and the terrrain is flat and open, perfect for Chariot Archers, I remember haveing a hell and suffering horrible losses first time I came there as Julii and without missiletroops of my own.

    The province is called Hyperboria.

Wow I've never gotten around to conquering the entire map, hence never meeting them. Yet more things on the "to do" list :D

I prefer scythed chariots, honestly. The amazons always seem to die on me.

playing unpatched vanilla RTW and wanting to buy some popcorn to eat while watching a sieging army storm up a seige tower one unit after another as each unit died enmasse crossing the tower bridge. "the screams! the beautiful screams!"
