I just don't like the fact that a white male can have more weight in a job hiring process then anyone else, then in the next job a black person does, then a Asian in the next job, or whatever the particular company is.

The goal of these laws is to level that field.

Does it succeed completely? Nope. Is it a step towards the goal? Yes. As with everything else in the world, some of these laws have an effect, some have no effect and others look like they have the opposite effect.
