Vengefulness is an ugly quality
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
And not one I exhibit often. In an extreme case extreme action is required.
It may not solve anything, but I'll retain/gain my cred and I'll feel better about myself. I've put up with his crap all year long, and done nothing but smile at him. He actually pushed me earlier that day and got right up in my face (without doing anything), and I just smiled at him, a big smile in response to his hate-filled expression. Where has that gotten me? Nowhere. Where will beating the ass outta him get me? Still nowhere but like I said, it'll make me feel better.

It always strikes me as odd that people like to claim a person who beat them wasn't "playing the game" correctly. He beat you plain and simple. Accept it. You can either try to settle it like a real man or you can try to get in a fight again. If you go with the latter, this time you should try and get the drop on him.

No it won't, believe me. It won't.Still nowhere but like I said, it'll make me feel better.
This space intentionally left blank.
beat me plain and simple? no. I've already beat him "plain and simple" earlier this year. Obviously he didn't learn, and decided that rather than try it again he would come up behind me. I will most certainly not try to get the drop on him like he did, because regardless of who he is I am honorable and I don't fight dirty.

Dude, you lost.
You don't get do-overs because you don't think he fought fairly. This aint the middle ages boy.
Your entire attitude, both here, and on facebook screams of "NUH UH, HE COULDNT BEAT ME, IM THOUGH WAAAAAH"
Especially when your recent attitude includes doing this:
"Just ran into my little brothers room, yelled "DAS BOOT", slapped him in the face, ran out."
Woah, theres some pictures I wish I didn't see.
Why do you and the other fella have a disagreement in the first place? Is there trouble in paradise?
Silence is beautiful
I don't know TBH. Like I said, most people don't like him, and that's probably why. He's just a hostile person for no reason.
It's true though. If you knew this guy you would know that he is a total puss, like everyone else says. It doesn't matter that it's not the middle ages, he's the embodiment of all that goes against the creed he says every day at JROTC (dishonor, disrespect, physically unfit, a liar, etc.) and most of all he jumped me from behind. So regardless I'm going to get a rematch and I'm going to kick his ass. and that's final.

That's always a good sign to stop and rethink the situation from scratch.
It sounds like you just accept the situation as it is and don't think a lot about it, maybe he's just that way because nobody likes him and not the other way around?
Of course you're angry at him and what he did was wrong, but now's the time to rethink the situation.
Of course you may have already done so and still come to the conclusion that he is angry for no good reason, but consider that he gets punished for his aggression, you want to become a marine helicopter pilot, you have a goal. I don't know whether or not the marines are looking for brutal thugs but in case they're not I wouldn't risk that goal just to get back at some guy, imagine you hurt him a little more than you actually wanted or he falls the wrong way and then your whole future is that of a convicted felon or whatever it's called in the USA. Maybe this isn't likely but it surely has happened to people before and you should think about whether exacting revenge is worth risking that you ruin your life.
You can always do or not do, but you cannot undo what has been done.

I don't. But like I said, it'll make me feel better.
If it makes anyone feel better, my final decision will be based on what my girlfriend says about it. If she doesn't want me to I won't.

Wait, what?
First off, I didnt know you had one.
Second, dont let her control your life.
Based on everything Ive seen (Im a senior in HS and you seem to be a sophomore), HS relationships rarely last. I only know of one relationship which has lasted more than a year. So dont let her control your life until college (when relationships are more mature and more likely to last, maybe even end up in marriage)- at least.
Its your life. Not hers. You run it the way you want to.

Beating the crap out of some person would probably make me feel better as well.
So would having sex with my friend.
Assault in the first case, rape in the second.
You may be in America, but you can't assault people because you feel like it.
You're showing the type of behaviour that gets you kicked out of anything that has discipline.
If you do it, you're no better than the guy at the end of this video:

What that guy did at the end there left the man disabled.
think about that.

Because having blood on your hands is the 'cool' thing to do and makes you 'feel good' and retains your 'street cred'.
It's savages that believe in such primitive values, and it's savages that deserve to consign themselves to a cycle of violence.
But if that's what you want, if that's what your heart desires and you have nothing better to do than resolve a petty dispute (and I can assure you: it's school, it's petty), just provoke him until he snaps and make sure he's covered in more blood than you.
have.... fun... I suppose.

I always enjoyed grinning like an idiot at any agressive people I met during my school years. On the two occasions that two sepparate kids tried to attack me I still kept smiling. One was quite scary I'm told since I was grinning through a face full of blood from my nose. This just caused them to look completely irrational and stupid since because I didn't hit back the situation clearly didn't call for violence.
