    Default Fraggle Rock

Is why America is the world Hegomon

Grobachev saw the writing on the wall in 83 and quickly crumbled when Fraggle Rock hit the airwaves with glasnost and perostrikia

    ALL HAIL FRAGGLE ROCK
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

I always enjoyed Fraggle Rock (if you are speaking of the fraggle rock I am familiar with), but you just can't top the Muppet Show! 'Hi-ho, Kermit de Frog here...'

Those guys were hilarious! The pseudo violence on the show was great too! Nothing like animal blowing the whole stage, cast included, up in a finale!

Hate to break it to you, Strike, but Fraggle Rock was predominantly done by Canadians (including intrepid poets bpNichol and Dennis Lee), and filmed in Toronto, Ontario.

All Hail Canada for bringing down the Iron Curtain!

Muppet Babies is more Jim Henson magic! It is a cartoon that I used to like when I was young! Back then, cartoons based on popular childrens charecters as children was all the rage. There was: Scooby doo kids (A Pup Named Scooby Doo), Flintstone kids, Muppet Babies, Loony Toones (Tiny Toons) and that's all I can remember.

On an aside, other good cartoons were Pac-Man, Thundar the Barbarian, a Mr T. crime solving cartoon, one about the Fonz from Happy Days, Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks (80's version), there was a 3 Stooges cartoon if I remember correctly, one about the video game Dragons Lair, and many others.

Mon-chi-chi, Mon-chi-chi, awful soft and cud-a-lee! Anyone remember those?

You are now realizing that there will never be a DVD release of Muppet Babies due to their heavy reliance on copyrighted material.

I meant their style of using entire clips from Star Wars and Star Trek for dream sequences and flash backs, as well as heavily borrowing imagery from other well known pop-culture sources of the time. If that show gets a DVD release with all of that, it'll be a miracle. Which is a shame cuz i loved it, it's one of my favorite child-hood shows.

Aside from Freakazoid!, but i already own the dvd box for that

    Yeah, that's a shame.

Freakazoid was a good show. That only ran for one season though, didn't it? Dexter Douglas, nerd computer ace, went onto the internet and was zapped to cyberspace. Turned into the Freakazoid, strong and super quick, drives the villans crazy cuz he's a lunatic!
