Well, I guess you could say that parents expect certain moral standards from teachers given the influence they have on their children. Sure you can disagree with those values but the school should respect the parents' wishes.

Although, personally, I think they could be more forgiving towards her, it sounds like she was going through a rough patch in her life and she very much regrets it.

It's much better to let your child be exposed to copius amounts of gratuitous violence to fill the void left by the bilogical imperative of human interaction

lol. I guess there is a tendency for some conservative people to be anti-sex, but not mind violence. I remember when I was about seven watching a film with my parnets when some gangsters/whatever had someones house under siege, and they stick a drill through a person's head, posted a severed dog's head through the cat flap and gunned some people down. But then there was a kissing scene and my mum changed it because it was unsuitable.
