heres a funny anecdote.

when my father retired from the navy his best buddy did as well. Mr. X went on to become a teacher before he stopped that nonsense and worked for th government like my father. Well yes and no... most traditional names have some kind of meaning in some ancient language or other... it wasn't really a case of someone sitting there stringing two or three syllables together and coming up with some meaningless tosh... which is often the case nowadays... but... who are we to judge?
